feminized or not

so the whole feminized seed thing seems a little strange to me...will a feminized seed produce the same quality buds as a non feminized seed? and will they really be female every time? in your guys opinion would you buy 10 non fem seeds or 5 feminized seeds?
thankss

Feminized seed are the same seed made from the same plants as the regular varieties. During a feminized seedrun, there is an additive of some kind they give to the plant to induce the all female seed.

I sat here staring at your question for like 5 minutes trying to remember what the hell it is that they give to them to create the necessary biological changes in the plant. I do know that they can give it to the male or the female and get the desired result.

A feminized seed IS in fact every bit as healthy and potent as the regular variety of that strain. I've got 4 feminized ladies 8 weeks into flowering. I can post you a few pics, if you'd like.

Go get you some seed, man! Haha.:-P

Good luck.

... I should add.

You can't breed with feminized seed. The process somehow makes the plant unfit for breeding.(High hermie rate)

Sorry if these answers are somewhat vague, man. I'm a bit of a noob myself. Be a sponge on this site, man. I've learned ALOT!

fem seeds are a hookey business, i would get the 10 reg ones. fem seeds can be herm prone and you could get some genetic fuckups

i think what the dude above me was tryin to think of is colidal silver or something like that

fems can also be made by breeding a female with its self(late bananas) or hermi pollen as it contains no male genes. this method is more herm prone im sure

I ordered 5 feminized AK-48 seeds from Nirvana, and I now have 5 female AK-48's 3 weeks into flower, looking vibrant and healthy... and... very female.

So from Nirvana and for me, feminized seeds were the way to go.

Lots of people share your opinion of feminized seed. I guess when it comes right down to it, it's about what the individual wants to grow, man.:)

I'm still fairly new myself. The feminized seed I grew turned out just fine as far I'm concerned.

I'm with monkeybones. I have the same Nirvana AK-48 fems growing in my Aerogarden and man they grow fast. I use feminized seeds because I don't want to waste my time with regular seeds waiting for sex to show and finding I have a male plant. I don't want to breed, I just want to grow and enjoy my weed. I know that feminized doesn't guarantee that it won't go hermie, but so far, at least for me it's the way to go.

dont get disocuraged by femmed seeds...as long as they are not stressed and absolutely NO light reached during dark cycle in flower, ull be fine.. i would suggest researching and purchasing a femmed strain that has been around and that uve heard of, i got white berry from paradise, germed 3 femmed, sprouted 3, all are big girls about 3 weeks til chop :-D
