they will allow you to start it but probably not in a propagator. I would suggest checking out some higher watt bulbs asap. just be sure you have the same base on the bulb. Welcome to the forum

Thanx for the welcome, now about the base? What exactly do you mean? The place it is screwed into, and if so, why is this important?

Yea they would work for now, but you will need to buy more as soon as you could afford it. The more light the more bud. It's all an experience. So have fun while growing and learn as you go.

ok, thanx for the reply. But anyway, i read somewhere that all that was needed for the plant was anywhere from 2500 lumens to 3000 lumens and these lamps produce almost 2000 each. So i figured they would be good for 1 or 2 plants.

Like cajun said, "The more light the bigger the buds/more buds." Yeah 3000lumens are enough for the veg stage but I think you will have to get more when you decide to flower.

Those bulbs that you are useing, we like to call them cfls.

I think its about 6500lumens a bulb or something like that. Somebody else needs to answer the question for you man. But the more light the better.

Ok nervous as hell right now. I just checked my seeds, and I have one "champion" that seems to want to be the first to germinate. I figure I will have to plant it (hopefull a her) tomorrow, but im really nervous. I don't want it to die. I will post a pic of the seedling so you all can see just how far along in germinating "she" is.

edit: ok, added a pic of my baby. i dont know how much time i have left before i ahve to plant it. Help, and tips please, would be appriciated.

You are probably talking about the new T5's. I haven't done enough research on those yet. Maybe you could do some research and let us know what you find out about them.

Peet pots cost about 20cents at mosty garden supply store and will have what your seed needs to get started. Easy to transplant.
