At this point, I am in late flowering. Nutes right now are (per gallon): 5ml calmag/ 10ml micro/ 2.5ml Gro/ 10ml Bloom/ 10 ml FloraNectar and 1/2 teaspoon of KoolBloom. Some of these strains run 8 to 10 weeks, so getting closer. The master bubbas look like they'll be ready first.
The trichs on the master bubbas are turning cloudy, so I cut their nutes in half today; will be giving them nothing but ph'd water for the next two weeks.
Here is an OG bud:
And here is what the tent looks like on day 50 of flowering:
These sativas are behind the kush, but they are starting to show a few cloudy trichs. They're not too far behind. I'm shooting for around 63 days on the kushes, and hopefully no longer than 70-75 days on the unknown strains in the bagseed.
These master bubbas have a really sweet, fruity flavor to them. Definitely a couch-lock strain!
The OG buds are starting to fatten up. Still fighting the mite problem, but keeping it under control at 8 weeks into flowering with the help of some Mighty Wash.
Some of the bagseed sativas:
These sativas are not as far along as the kush; they have some trichs going cloudy, but they're mostly clear still. Still giving full-strength nutes on all of these sativas.
Tonight the OG buds look like they are swelling - they are sure sucking up the water right now. And... Seedling D and Seedling E are looking partly cloudy - going to start them on plain ph'd water next watering. :^)
Day 61 pics of the master bubbas:
Does this look a little purple to you?
Even the bottom nugs are looking very, very plump:
Trichs are not amber yet, so I am going to wait to cut them. Tomorrow is 9 weeks into flowering and was the earliest I was going to chop. I will wait up to week 10.
Harvested last night at day 65 on the master bubbas. That's counting from switching to 12/12; these girls had pre-flowers in late veg.
So here are some pics of the harvest. I trimmed the fan leaves off and left the sugar leaves for now. I have to wait for any remaining spider mites to crawl up the stems; I don't know why they do this, but they do. I saved any of the top fan leaves which had some trichs on them for hash.
Harvested the first of the bagseed sativas - seedling E, otherwise known as "Elena". This was one of the last plants in this grow to flower, and I already had as many plants in the tent that I wanted, but... I didn't have the heart to cut a female. So she stayed in a #1 pot throughout veg AND flowering. She was flipped to 12/12 at around 10" height, and she finished at around 30" in height. Started flowering 10 days into 12/12 cycle, and harvested at day 66 = 56 days of flowering for 'Elena'.
Here she is:
(again, sugar leaves left on until spider mites have crawled up the stem)
Last night, I cut the remainder of the master bubba girls. They are no more! So sad, but we took some clones. This strain is killer. I just love the taste of our test samples, and those were not dried and cured; they were just hung to dry for a couple of days and then ground up for the vape.
Speaking of drying and curing, the colas that I had cut on 4/16 were so perfect for jarring last night. They were still slightly flexible to bend, and the outside of the buds felt drier. They had hung for 5 days. By the time I finished trimming and jarring the last of the 14 colas. I noticed that the stems were getting drier. So I'm thinking perfect timing there. I got several quart jars between the good buds and the popcorn. We'll see how much that dries down to. I can't remember the weights right now; have to post them later.
The OG girls just didn't look exactly right for harvesting yet. They still look like they could go a little longer. There are still white pistils all around, and I don't see any amber trichs anywhere yet. Kinda waiting for the first sign of amber to clip them. At day 70, I am wondering if they are ever going to change.
