Well after almost losing everything, to either heat or water issues, the little chica's are making up for lost time.
I added some MG fertilizer ( that blue stuff mixed w/ water) to 2 plants that were on the the way to death. Within 2 day the green leaves were returning . So I then used that MG on the rest of them.
I have added a remote temperature sensor, with high and low memory , and a fan. I water every 2 days now. ( I think that I under watered the little seedlings by listening to some growers here saying water every 3 or 4 days. That with high heat caused a near death experience for this babes)
If you are following this thread from the start, the grow is now 5 Northern Lights, 5 mystery. (free seeds) 2 Ak-48 ( Fem) and 2 Big Bud. I started another Ak -48 about week ago when things looked grim.
I can't rename the thread or haven't figured out how. Its changing and no Bubble Gum made it & Northern Lights were added.
But I was planning making a few mistakes and learning from them, but this becoming a major education for me.
I hope I can get some growth now with a bit less schooling. I'm liking the way things are looking the last few days. I have one Northern Light plant that is exploding ahead of the others, even has smell. I'm thinking that I may have "room " problems coming soon. But thats good thing.
I added a picture of NL#2 that was close to death and a picture after 1 week of fertilizer and a 400 wt light. Then a few pics of others.

i go by picking the pot up so i know when it needs to be watered. you'll learn when each 1 needs water easily. looking good dude keep up the good work.

Thats a good way thats how i do it as well, just be sure to monitor your girls closely they will talk to you bro benn a lot of changes since i was last here but im back now got a lot of things done around the house and the ole lady let me out to play again so here i am...

When I read some of your journals with pictures, I feel embarrassed about even putting up pictures. What kills me is the guys who started there grow after I started and they are passing me up.
I just been plugging along . I FIM topped 3 plants and tried to clone the tops. ( the jury is still out on the clones ). The plants that got topped came back nicely with more shoots.
I also been using steel baling wire and LST ing the main stems of few of my plants. I have trained one plants where the main stem is almost in a full circle, around the pot. Every few days I pull the main stem down more and the lower shoots get exposed to the light and start to grow vertically. I water the plant real good it makes the stem more pliable, then pull it down over a few days. Its almost like a Mini' SOG. I think I will continue to do this to a couple of these as an experiment.
This one is my favorite , because one poster who trying to help me said its a garbage plant kill it, and start over . Its the same plant 24 days later .
The question
Some of these are plant are 6 to 7 weeks old ( I know small ) I have made many rookie errors that have slowed the growth. The youngest is 23 days old , and is as big as the old ones.
So should I flip to 12 x12 ? I still need to sex 12 of these (2 are Fem AK-4

I was thinking I would flip to flower mode to sex , then only leave 4 females with the 2 AK-48 for a total of 6 under the 400 w. I would return the extra females back to vegetative stage for mothers or the next grow.

Hey bro just like i said dont take everything you here on here for knowledge or rule you have to find the good info and use it to your ability thats why i told you long ago dont give up on your girls until they are dead and gone..and you see why they are looking good for all they have been through real nice they may not be the size you want or expect for the time frame but they will get there..i'm still here to watch this all come together and i hope you continue to put good time into your grow and dont worry about what others grow looks like compared to yours you'll be alright..Peace and rep for the rebound!!When I read some of your journals with pictures, I feel embarrassed about even putting up pictures. looking good shag. dont worry about size of plants like stinkbudd1 said. dont forget that every strain grows differently then every other one. you can flip to 12/12 any time you want. you can even do 12/12 from seed also. you mite want to transplant your plants to larger pots tho, so you dont have to worry about root bound plants.

I was going to T-plant some Monday ,and flip to 12's after a couple of days . then I should be sexed withing a week or so.

Shagster has been in mourning. After 7 days of 12/12, under the HPS. sex was showing. It took 2 days to finally get up the nerve to do what needed to be done. These two were my biggest and fastest growers. I noticed males seem to be the more aggressive after a T-plant or even clone. You can look at the picture and reassure me that I was correct in donning my execution uniform, and taking them off at the base.
My son's were cremated in the wood stove. 2 of my youngsters were slain with industrial scissors. I was impressed at the size and strength of the stem and root system. Also the males sex parts showed up with in 2 days , and were forming so fast I worried that pollen would be popping out within a day.
I FIM-ed topped most of my plants before flipping the switch. I have been having very high success rate with my clones getting roots . 5 of the 10 have roots and the other 5, the roots haven't shown up yet. 0 death rate so far.( except when parent turned out male) When I did my first clone I wasn't expecting it to take, so I'm quite pleased with my new skill.
All is well , I flipped the switch on 4/1 and sexing the remaining youngsters. I will have room for a 6 to 8 in the flower room. I will return any extra females back to the vegetation chamber after sexing is done.
I made sheet and everyday when the lights are on , I take a good look at each plant and make a guess as to the sex, starting with a ? mark , and then leaning to either male or female. Some of the plants that I originally had leaning towards male are turning out female. So the lesson here is be patient until sex fully shows.
If the process end up like its heading now I will have 8 females out of 12. which is better than I was expecting.
