Love what happened? Looks like things kinda came along in a hurry.

Now im going to jump to the last page fast.
Im not sure of the strains ur growing but sativa dominant or sativa cross strains can and will stretch and get crowded fast.
On the otherhand ive had an indica dominant strain in my dwc that started at 12 inches and finished at 2.5 fett with thick juicy nugs.
The question of crowding will come in the actual grow characteristics of ur strains growing in DWC. a monster in itself and not the same as especially soil and some other hydro methods ive seen.

I would say to anyone. If ur not sure force flower at least 10 inches in VEG.

If u have problems with crowding then. Ill show u how to use lollipopping and sog techniques to maximize ur grow and pimp optimal end product.

MAN, not only did fixing the pH make the plants shoot up like crazy, but the new light hood that I made traps the light in perfectly!

I know that the Brainstorm is "Mostly sativa" Super Lemon Haze is sativa, but The Kali is indica...I think.

The plants are probably 9-10" now, but growing so fast. I had to move the lights up once a day for the past 2 days!

I know SOG is sea of green, and I have read up on it, but what exactly are you meaning by it? And lollipopping? I'm gonna look through the forums for that, but any advice is accepted because I love the words PIMP and OPTIMAL and MAXIMUM

Here's what happened to my sativa dominant females in flower recently.
I will search for the pictures of the indica dominant plant i grew along side my NLXHaze that finished at 1/3 the size.

Pimp. Optimize and Maximum potentials depend on how u use this system as well as lighting over ur actual flower space ur flowering under.

Lollipopping should be used when growing multiple plants in minimal amounts of flower space.
Removing the bottom 1/4 or more stem sites and fan leaves to free up room as well as force ur plants to concentrate on Main Top or Cola Growth.
By doing so u can also place more plant per grow space as opposed to plants grown typically and harvested with all the lower or pop corn bud stem sites.
And harvest Massive xmas tree like colas on each plant.

Oh that would be a good idea, but I don't think I will be doing any excess cutting other than the harvest, seeing as it's my first time and I don't wanna do anything terribly wrong YET!

Yeah, I figured that was the BASIC rule and anything other than that is up for my own experimentation later down the line... Is there anything bad about going straight into 12/12 as opposed to a gradual (over 2-3 days) drop to 12/12?

Also, I do have some sickly little leaves, some nute burned and some crumbled from it. Is it okay for me to cut those leaves off? Or are they no real big problem? (ex. bottom right plant has dead fan leaves at bottom)

Yea Id yoink the dead ones off. Otherwise ur plants are going to waste energy trying to repair the leaves.
The burned leaves will not repair.

From what the 'veteran growers' have said, going gradual isn't going to make any difference. Just set it and forget it.

Yea Just switch um man. When ever i do switch i do a complete res change as well. And start fresh with my flower feeding regimen.

I didnt read the whole thread but I noticed that you didnt clean those hydroton rocks before you put them in, I was advised to clean it throughly with water because those dust peices seem to clog up the pumps on occassion. Any new pics of your grow?

I might not have mentioned it, but I definitely did clean off the rocks before hand. The most recent pics are the ones I posted from 2 days ago. I will take a pic on Sunday, the last day of veg!

I kicked that shit into FLOWER today because they are all so fuckin sexxxxxy. I have some pics on my phone, but it's so nice! They are getting a little crowded, but I will just feel it out. Maybe add some lights on the side. The BRAINSTORMS are so fucking BIG that I think I will LST it. Can I still do that in flower?

Hey love looking nice and edible haha.. LST= Low Stress Training man.
Im not sure if thats what ur trying to get at but yea thats most likely when u will have to incorporate training into ur grow.. Mainly at least mine im lst'ing my plants down with string away from the lamps.

If ur talking about Lollipopping....Or Trimming/Pruning.. I do this during weeks 1-2 but i have taken lower stems all the way into the 3rd week with no ill effects..
Im thinking ur going to need to incorporate some type of Lollipopping to ur grow man.. But wait it out to around day 8 -14 to see exactly what ur going to need to remove..
If thats not clear hit me up. the best thing u can do for plants in a grow like ur and mine is free the bottom up for air exchange..
It also works hand in hand with ur plants to concentrate bud growth up top where it really counts anyway.
