first grow

me and my boy just started our first grow last week. Germinated them a little longer then one normally would due to us needing to get the other necessary components.

So far, our setup is:
-2 100w 6500k CFL's
-2 60w 2700k CFL's
-Dirt (need to get some sore of potting soil with nutes eventually)

This is all set up underneath a folding table, all covered with multiple blankets to provide plenty of darkness. We have a floor fan blowing air into the growing area, and a small 4" fan being used as an exhaust fan. Checked on it after 2 days and it had sprouted about the surface, and had 3 small leaves growing on it. Cant wait to check it out tomorrow, havent seen her in a couple days :-(

you break the #1 rule by growing with someone else, dont let anyone else know. is it at your friends house?

what are you growing, bag seeds? remember to only water when the soil is dry, to prevent over watering, hand hold off on nutes or soil with nutes in it untill 2-4 weeks or the plant shows signs of nute deficiencies

i said dont tell anyone else, for all i know, either one of they could mess it up, or neither of them. but the #1 rule is not to let any one know what or how much your growing.

well i mean you can tell us, because we have no idea who you are and cant do anything to your plants, but never underestimate a schemester

not really worried about people messing with it to be honest. its a pretty chill area here, town only has like 4000 people so it all pretty laid back and whatnot.

We are planning on transplanting into a mixture of potting soil and compost tomorrow, as i have a connection at the local garden center. Anybody have experience with either of the two? I am also wondering if there are any common things i could use as nutes, as opposed to buying a product specifically made for plant growth.

2 weeks old i say.

by the way how many plants do you have under this table, how tall is it, and how hot do you think it gets in there?

2 large pots, 4 seeds planted. So far one as broke earth. A couple feet tall? imagine the tables with the fold out legs, about 5' long, 2' wide, and 3' high perhaps?
Not sure on the temp, it doesnt get too hot. The room is in his basement so it stays fairly cool

Never heard of the scrog method until now, although i see it is very similar to the SOG which i am somewhat familiar with. We are hoping that we can get another spot setup with more height allowance, but for right now this is all we have. We are considering extending the legs, but we will probably end up doing the scrog if we cant find another grow location.

one of the pots now has both seeds we planted above the dirt. Is this an issue, should we move them to separate pots? Or will they simply grow together?

well im heading out to my gf's house, smokin a J on the way. Emptied Marlboro, stealth style:weed:

ill check back later.

By the way, we now have 3 plants above soil, 2 in one pot and 1 in the other. Raised the pots today so that they are about 5" from our veg CFL's

anybody? first time grower just wanting to do things right. I was thinking about letting them grow in the same pot until there is a decent root system, then separating them and putting them each in there own pots. Should I just do that, or would it be better to do it asap?

ASAP together stunts eachothers growth fueling on same feed if you know what I mean prop me baby.Patience is whats most needed.

alright that what i figured. I'll get to moving them ASAP.
Anybody have recommendations on cheap neuts to get? Not really looking to buy neuts from online; id rather buy from a home depot, agway, or local garden center if possible.
