First real grow in cab, let me know what you think.

So ive tried growing before but nothing to serious. But this time i want to do it right. I've started to build my own grow cabinet. Let me know what you guys think.


Im planning on using two 80mm PC fans, one intake, one exhaust. The cabinet is about 11 cubic feet. Both fans will be on the back wall, the intake will be routed to the front for cross ventilation. I will be using a combination of 6 26w 6500K and 2 26w 2700K cfl bulbs. Anyone have any ideas on covering the doors with the foil? I was hoping to use the doors, otherwise i could just put a hinge on the top. Give me some input plz!!

get u some lightage in it and those fand
a ph meter a humidity and temp meter a exaust for smell if u have to
and some active carbon and u can make urself a filter if money is an issue
all i knwo is i wish i had a small cabinet to do one

I got a thermometer and a hygrometer. Im working on getting a pH meter. I recently saw the DIY walmart carbon filter and im planning on building one of those.

Got a little update. Made a ghetto reflector.


Also Finished lining the inside of the cabinet.



I ordered some White Widow seeds and went to the store and picked up Happy Frog soil.
I have 8 26w cfl bulbs for a total of 208w. All 8 lights are on top, i was thinking about adding 3 or 4 lights around the sides, at least for the flowering stage. And if im starting with Happy Frog Soil from seed when should i start with the Grow Big?

Got another update.
Added 3 more lights around the sides of the cabinet.
Got the intake and exhaust on. The intake will have a pvc pipe bringing it to the front of the box.

I now have 11 lights, 8 6500k, 3 2700K lights.

I have a 100watt HPS layin around, I was wondering about using it for flowering.

I was curious about where to put the carbon filter, should the fan push the air through or pull it? Im thinking it should pull it through.

Sweet cab, what are the temps in there?

Its only been running for a few hours and no plants yet, Its about 82-83.

Looked at the temp this morning and it was in the high 80's. So im gonna try getting rid of 3 lights and see where it puts me on temp.

Im looking into doing a LST instead of the SCROG. I did a little more research and this looks like my best option since i dont have much for height.

added a second exhaust fan to lower the temps. its sitting around 82 degrees with only 6 lights. is that gonna be too high? I was hoping to use all 11 lights when i flower
