Yeah, because afgan really does not take that long. But its ok, accidents happen. My afgan has been through 2 of them. yours is looking really nicely thou. I can't wait to see mine 2 weeks from now. Mine look really good for there age, so I can only imagine...

Hey does anyone know anything about molasses??? I was thinking about supplementing it in as i phase out nutes to flush, is it too late or a good idea? If so does anyone know if it will affect taste +/-?

I've heard both positive and negative things about molasses, one person said that it's just a general purpose carbohydrate (sugar) that helps up the metabolism/ nutrient uptake of plants(also sold in hydro stores under different names). and to the contrary in hydro set up's I've heard it can kill your crop. Yeah some extra super sticky buds would be hella sweet, Can't chance it though without some expert advice! hey if anyone could fill in the blanks I'm having with some personal experience it would be much appreciated... Hydro+Molasses=Good or Bad????

Did a little LST today,some of the flowers are getting some weight to them, and started to fall over when they didn't have the door to hold em up. I figure they're getting better light now too so it's good all around. Also I looped all of the string (did not fully tie-just wrapped around once) that's holding bud up so that it can grow unrestricted but is still be guided in the right direction...

Most people start giving it with the last 2 feeds or so during flowering, then use it when they go straight to flushing. I dont think its to late, are you just starting to flush?

I am not a expert on Molasses, but many people who know me, like Somebeech knows I know my botany very well. So ill take a stab at it..

I haven't started flushing yet at all, only about 2-5% of the hairs have changed and no cloudy trichs. was thinking of flushing last week maybe week and a half. also is it safe for hydro applications?

Molasses is used as a source of carbohydrates to stimulate the growth of beneficial microorganisms. It gives microorganisms in the soil the carbs that they use to stimulate growth. It works as a ch elate to unlock vital micro nutrients like humic acid.
organic growers swear by it during flowering and hydro growers have shown it does increase flower density when used in the last few weeks of flowering, and I also have seen a noticable gain when using it during the last 3 weeks of flowering. molasses is made naturally from plants, for example, Like surgar Cane is!
Since your probably ready to flush, I would use 1/2 TSP per gallon to flush. Usually people start before they flush with about 1TSP per gallon
Now, like that person advised you, it can cause harm if given to much, also, you have to make sure not to get unsulphured molasses, otherwise you could cause the plant harm and will have toxicity issues.

Ok, if you haven't started flushing then you can start the molasses at the normal time people usually do, then go down to 1/2 TSP per gallon when you flush
You will never know the results if you don't try it. If you try it and decide its not for you, then you don't have to use it anymore
Some people even use molasses during most of the grow, most use it at the end of the flowering cycle.
Phoneix, what strains are you growing? Or is it bagseed? The new pics are looking phenomenal btw

Thanks a lot Kratose! (Im going to change back to old skin just to give you rep+) Really appreciate i was thinking of starting the flush this time next week. One more question any Suggestions as to some more well known chains that would have the correct molasses i didn't know there was a kind that would have unfavorable results, any example of good brands?

It's pure Afghan got from marijuana-seeds.nl, when i ordered my Ice. It just out grew the others and then they fell into the culture a weekend i was away (rip) and it's just the one plant now. think i'm going to go with the ice next time, it's mostly sativa is that, all that much harder to grow I've learned a lot of pot holes to dodge next time around (especially vegging till it's almost 32 in tall lol) but i think i could pull off a slightly more complicated strain. (Nothing really sensative yet though)

Edit...haha, I vegged for awhile too. For about 5-7 weeks, They were about 1 1/2ft when they started to flower. But I have a monster of a AK, over 2ft tall right now

Started adding a tsp of molasses when feeding (Grandma's) Trich's are spreading/getting thicker in areas couple more flowers need a good dusting (you can only see trichs a few inches down) Other than that just been watching her day to day to make sure she's ripening up, more orange hairs forming on front most buds. maybe 5-10% if that on the more mature ones
