It would seem so, like the off gassing helps. Otherwise it's a fermentation pot, like sauerkraut(mmm).

I apologize in advance for any cheesy fonts and texts on my pics..just smoked a fatty and creative inspiration struck me in MS Paint lol

My Reserva Privada Sour Kush has been through some thangs! Due to my own error of course. If you look closely, you'll see little brown spots dotted on a couple lower leaves...I treated her with a non-antibacterial soap / water mix after finding out that she had red spider mites. Probably not the best way to treat, this is my first grow and I am broke so yea. I haven't seen any more traces of mites though, and her new growth is looking awesome. If you noticed, a couple leaves are bent...her pot was up-ended last weed during a feeding in my bathroom. Believe me, I wanted to slap myself. I think she is going through a mild moisture lockout. I probably didn't wait long enough to water the soil after transplant. I'm trying to stick to a watering schedule where the soil stays moist and never dries. Am adjusting it to what's right for the girls, will get it right soon. Despite the noob mistakes, I think she's beautiful.

The Seedman Original Skunk #1 hasn't had any issues. I sprayed it with the same mixture for mites as I sprayed the Kush with, and she tossed it off like nothing. Didn't faze her a bit! She is looking real bushy and I'm excited to work with her in a SCRoG.

By the way, I'm trying to figure out if my plants are tall enough for their trellis netting yet. I usually see people SCRoG with clones and have heard it mentioned somewhere that you would want the plant to be taller when it's grown from seed before training. Anyone have some advice?

Hey Lady, your girls look kick ass!

Another thing I keep forgetting to let you in on; you can save a lot of money by grabbing some emergency blankets. The silver Mylar type. They cost as little as $1.99, and they are like 8'x10' sheets. They keep hot things hot and cold things cold too! Makes em great for lining picnic baskets..

Used to line your grow boxes will even get you a few more cm of grow space.

Just looking out. That goes for all y'all cab growers, save a buck! :)

Might want to find a picture frame thatll fit the dimensions of the area you want to scrog to. That bird netting is very flexible unless pulled tight. Your plants will pull it up, they can be very strong!

Hey, I actually have the inside of the box lined with car windshield reflector made with Mylar. Do you mean that I should put some on the actual planter?

The reason why I didn't use a picture frame is because my netting is sloping up to the sides like this "\". I figure that will give me a few extra inches of net and let me utilize my lights more efficiently. I will tighten it more as the plants grow, and can't see it but I have the netting extending outside the box, where its fastened down with velcro and zip ties.

Sounds like(again) you've thought it through.

Nah, I meant if you ever upgrade and make a new box. Or need the little space it'll give back.

That stuff is less than paper thin. I like it.

I tried walmart for the blankets once but the guy told me they rarely stay long...people always buy them up. Will randomly check when I go...maybe can grab some!

plants are looking good. i'm not sure if your temps are still an issue or not, but that windshield reflector stuff traps a lot of heat. i had it lining my pc case and the temps were unmanageable with four 23 watt cfls. someone on the boards here told me to just spray paint the interior flat white, and it took care of it. from your plants though, it looks like your temps are just fine. but it's just a thought, especially if you want to add more lights later on or something.

Mornin!

Heading off to work soon, just checking in. Ya, a tent would be nice.

Time for a nice hot shower. It's like my coffee.

Thanks for the info! My temps are pretty decent for now, and that's with only a fan at the exhaust. I will add more lights when flowering though so if I can't manage the temps after adding an intake fan, it's good to know that changing the lining will help out too. I can imagine it would make it grow pretty hot inside a metal case! My first choice was Mylar, but the people at Lowe's apparently didn't know they sell it, so told me they didn't have any (this was after an associate called the manager too). Thanks a lot for the tip :)

Hope you have a good day, and enjoy that shower! I'm about to check out your grow after I have my morning J :). Meant to do it yesterday but I was juggling homework and my new RIU addiction . <--- this is my face on RIU crack
