I dont think there is a comparison....HID have better spectrum and better penetration maybe for one plant but who does that?

actually CFL have better spectrum, but low penetration. CFL produces more light in usable spectrum, HID produces a lot more light but some of the light is in useless spectrums so pretty much it just adds heat. and actually I only have one plant, I have very little room.

Im thinking that the temp at 80 degrees 24/7 makes the plant think its still in summer veg. Im new but from what im reading you need some dark hours which comes with low temps around 65-70 degrees. So maybe you should try lowering the temp down to that during the 12 hours of dark. (lower your heater during dark hours)

hey JQuick, in the picture i did not see a fan, do you have one in the room? that will help on stem strength if you dont. also if you staple some white sheets to the walls of the room that will help

don't expect huge buds using those bulbs. Most of these guys on here are using hid lighting. Don't get me wrong you can get some decent sized buds using cfls but if you want large heavy colas you gotta go with hid

temps are about 70 during light and about 60 during dark, 12 12

nope, no fan in the room, im using clamp lights so i had to put boxes underneath the pot to elevate it closer to the lights, not enough room to put a fan in

yeah, id get those lights closer, its allright if the fan leaves touch bit or almost, they might burn bit but minimal and the greater lights on them and the buds will make up for any burns.

you might also want to add some more light if you can. and or start a smaller veg cab so when this plant is done the next plant will have vegged a month allready (since you need as much smoke as you can)

aside from the lack of light, the plant is looking good. you might want to cover those brown wood walls with something white, to get greater reflectivity in there.

good luck and happy growing dude.

oh edit, you are doing fine aside from the lack of light, great first grow, so, might as well get that hps now, the plant would love you for it and also get more smoke, though you´d better get some fans too.

with a 150w hps ,you might get away with computerfans though

on whether a 150 or 250, how well can you fan that area? need at least 70 cfm for 150, 125 cfm for a 250.

depending on the size,

sounds like a good plan. the more experience you have under your belt the better. this grow should give you a good idea of how your room is going to act.
