Flowering won't start

Hey guys, I have a question.

I got two pots with White Skunk AF. They are 6 weeks old. One of them already flowering for about two weeks but other is still without any signs of flowering. I use 24/0 light cycle. As I read that it is possible to use 12/12 for AF to get them flower but now is the QUESTION. Can I use 12/12 for both pots or it will affect the one who is already flowering? I don't have opporunity to seperate them!
Hope you can help me.

Switching to 12/12 will have no effect on plants already flowering. I change every auto I grow from 24/0 to 12/12 at 3 weeks old and have for 15 yrs. . Absolutely no problem. No where does anything state autos "require" 24/0. 18/6 etc....only that they CAN handle it.

People are quick to suggest 12/12 right away and less light equals less yeild. You should wait 1 more week and lower the veg nutes(N) and give a higher dose of bloom nutes(p or k) and that will sometimes push them to flower and not reduce the yeild by taking away light.

Genuine question here; will it reduce yield or just increase time to finish? I'm under the impression it will just delay harvest

So if i take a flowering plant and give it 3 weeks of dark to go on vacation it will be fine and just 3 extra weeks to flower? Maybe not the perfect analogy, but if you take light away it doesn't grow to it's full potential. You can't slow it from maturing.

Well no thatd just be ridiculous. I ran autos on 12/12 and pulled over 3oz per plant they just ran about 2-4 weeks longer than their sister at 18/6. My yield was within 10 grams either direction

Really? Cause there is a VERY popular mix called Lucas formula been around for years using only Micro and Bloom from GH seed to harvest. Seems if you have not been growing long you should read abit more before posting these comments.

The Micro has very little N. The formula was made to be fed the same amount beginning to end and give the plant all it needs. I believe it is in the 900-1000 ppms range but i don't monitor that way.

seems like im questioning the guru here, ill just back off :peace:
I don't know everything. Never said i did, but I've used the Lucas formula since i started in 12'. In works easy and great. My point is that plants dont3 need N as much as flowing nutes and this formula proves with very little N but using it the whole grow it is enough for the plant to be healthy.

plus nutes dont push cannabis plant into flower bro!
Take some time to read. You'll say that nutes can't push to flower yet keep feeding N for a few weeks in flower? No sense there since you can't force autos to veg longer by giving as much N as you want.

Ok I’m stepping in between you two shooting at each other to give my very limited knowledge. Any auto I’ve overfed, especially nitrogen, in veg has always taken weeks longer to veg and hence weeks longer to finish.

If you’re over feeding nitrogen it will delay flower or prolong veg time and the plant will get taller. Not sure there is any benefit to that because the light penetration is only so much.

Also it does need nitrogen through stretch anytime I’ve taken it out during stretch it always yellowed on me.

Resume shooting :bigjoint:

Who is saying that I want to keep autos in veg for more? Autos are autos as from what I've seen, I admit that I don't have any experience in growing autos except my current grow, but from what I've seen(yes, I can read) they can start flowering as early as 3 weeks old. Giving N in the first weeks of flowering is essential to give the plants the needed N supplies to finish their lives without their leaves fall off early and disturb photosynthesis or cut the plant's supply of food as well.
