I think that Friesland is cone only, and Freezland, which is a cross of the Friesland cone and Pluton, is available in seed form. Correct me if I'm wrong though, I'm not at all an expert, just what I've gathered through research.
ah, you must be right

I definitely remember picking some seeds out of the early 90's freeze lol That is all I know. I just started soaking 2 Kumaoni and 1 freiese to run indoor along side with a handful of now one month old white banner of . I have room I am curious just to see what the hell I got lol I wish I had a lil 400 wat extra to my 1000w in-case I have a male , to isolate for in case I want to breed. I may just seed the crop It's for personal use and what ever comes from it I am sure will be interesting on some level. So Landraces what perticular risk hermie, males, low thc..oh by the way I looked up every possible seed in the afgan miz and there is some awsome looking weed in there, hand to look for pics on line, once I had the name , but The veg on this run has to be a bit shgort so I am saving the afghan mix for when I can go bigger.
  • Balkh
  • Badakshan
  • Mazar-i-Sharif (i.e. the cultigen ‘Mazari’)
  • Kunduz( this one looks interesting to me.)

I grow outdoor, so I'm not worried about hermies. By risk, I meant risk of low THC and or low yield. Landraces are super cool though, a ton of medical potential.

I guess I will just roll the dice, more then a few have me curious, I may just have to run one Landrace every time, many are very very interesting looking and something new is cool. Some look very potent.

Oh, landraces are awesome, I'm just too much of a chicken, don't let me discourage you. I grow outdoor only, so my whole year's stash is dependent on six plants, and I'm a huge pothead, so every one of those plants needs to produce. Since landraces haven't been bred down as much there is a lot more variability.
Bodhi has some really interesting landraces in his Nierika Seed Trust line, I've spent some time drooling over them.

Where did you get the "freiese", is that a Friesland cross, or just a different spelling?

I think French bikers bastardized a stolen clone of Friesland with pluton in the early 90s to make freezeland. My family used to grow it back in the day, they say its just not the same quality of high. I don’t think they even had a real cut they tissue cultured it from a leaf. That’s what I heard atleast.
I think Pacific northwest roots crossed Fire alien with freezeland. It’s called Fire Alien Freeze.

lol that is just me being bad at spelling, sorry.. Friesland from kwik seeds. as far as the name thing there was always confusion because every year/time/person said some similar variation of the name until eventually it was just " The Freeze." The 2 Kumaoni popped! it's been less then 15 hours, they were fat, plain color, the one fries, still not cracked, they had the cool tiger color and not as big. the kumaoni may be used to some staggered light schedule it wont get from me. How nice would a longer season be, some Landraces are used to being 12 feet tall with thin buds and take forever to finish but there has to be some great buzzes amongst those crazy unseen varieties given full potential. I was deep in the rabbit hole went I first started to look into strains and I was reading alot and read a site I kinda thought I discovered but then found out it's this little ntch treasure trove for many experienced growers ( Mandala Seeds) but just there info on Landrace and there story of leave it the f alone weed ( I summarize) was so appealing. also i like the way you can recognize traits of familure weeds on old land race pics, they ones they were messing with.

I agree about the buzz from landraces, it's not just about THC. I think there are a lot of things that have been inadvertently bred out of many modern strains. Some of the old strains, while not being as potent, had more interesting highs.

Oh cool, I get it, post results if you get a chance.

It is true , prior, my thinking was stronger the better but I need some alternatives.. I have basically ruined whole months by having only one couch lock strain to turn too, napping a lil after each meal, dragging my self around for a month. Then I smoked super lemon haze and blueberry skunk , lemon tasted awesome and was a clean stone and the bluberry skunk tasted awesome as well such a treat both of them and the bb/s gave me a buzz that shot me back to highschool what with the two retro stains. and I can't even say I have every tried pure land-race strains perhaps they have place or purpose. I dont drink but I imagine if you drink and smoke ( too heavy for me) a 70';s hippy weed may be best or when I am old with dementia.. lol ..or or It may be good , I am thinking tho these seeds are not used to indoors and north and elevation i can only guess elevation provides different lighting .. I may not be able to pull it off. I will take pics , they may be of smaller plants , less time too screw up plus there is a veg time isssue

Beanhoarder at Hemp Depot has a C 99 cross and have a Big Freeze list of crosses. All for INSANELY cheap prices.
I have read threads on those even checked out the prices on H.D initially but when I checked them out H.D had some strange requests for placing an order that involved boring paperwork and mailing? they seem to have that straightened out. At this point, I have the Friese regs may as well make my own crosses or more friese.. I .. not expectingly may have fem seeds or herm seeds lol,( widowxbanner) I have herm pollen as well. The floor was cold, I got some bananas on some of them, dealt with all them, one plant got stressed again weeks later and I took the pollen pod off, was going to get rid of it saw a few tasty buds I liked and just did it, and it worked as far as I can tell some fat seeds are growing in. So I am not claiming any of this is stable but I choose best traits out of, if I include the best of whats vegging now 40 plants, best few and the nanner came from my fastest plant to bud and show crystal. It is getting crossed with the friese or I will try and also A landrace and later perhaps afgan. I may just get used to smoking seeded weed for a bit to prepare for the zombies.

How was the Durban/Freeze cross? I'm in NB :)
The worst of them all, the lemon freeze is good. the DFG come in last out of everything as far as bag appeal goes but the smoke is alright its very lemony ans almost identical to the lemon freeze tbh just a bit less good IMO

It's commonly believed that Freezeland is a cross of Friesland and Pluton. It is local to Quebec and is most commonly known (to me) as Freezeland, Freezeline, or simply Freeze.

Currently trying BeanHoarder's Durban Poison x Big Freeze now. I can let you know how it goes. (Available@Hemp Depot)
How did this go? Have 100 of them.

Did you grow outdoors or inside? I'm north of Winnipeg. I got 100 of these based on the breeder mentioning bug and pm resistance. I have 20 acres of organic beautiful land with water and shelter and sunlight. Was thinking of tossing those there. Then I have 100 of the Big Green God x Big freeze I was going to try in the greenhouse and 60 of the freeze x big freeze I was going to put just under a poly rain cover.

We top out at 16hrs of light during June and July. I'm hoping to find a pheno of the entire lot that will flip and finish without my help to start breeding with a few modern crazy designer strains.

Any knowledge of any of these seeds in anyway is helpful. Thnx.

I grew the real gorilla seeds freeze land crosses not the beanhoarder ones bro... but if ur talkin about the UK fem seeds from realgorilla then I’d try a bit of all there strains like I did last year cuz they all did well but it’s based on smoke preference .. the lemonade og x freezeland was probly the most stable between that, the DFG ,and the easy sativa x skunk#1 .. I’m from New Brunswick Canada and the Barney’s farm strains I did turned out the best by far .. did some 8ballkush , gorilla skittles and a few blue cheese and they all went 6+ ft tall and over a pound but of QUALITY.. looks like quad hydro almost

I did em outdoors but I have a 5x5 tent as well with a couple 600w MH/HPS combo .. so I kept a couple good pheno of the 8ball,gorilla and cheese . Got lucky off a 3 pack and landed a monsterwhich I then monster cropped shortly after flipping em to flower indoors then put outside In 60+ gallon holes back filled with organic nutes etc .. that’s how I been getting over a pound a plant
