most of the money that people donate to "charity" doesnt even go towards the people in dire need.

hence the advertising and the fat people in the commercials.
Sit out in front of the hospital, set up a table and a sign, and give away your paycheck, or however much you want, to people who say they could use the help.

No, the government should uphold the law, and protect its' citizenry. People should care for people. Charity is a beautiful thing.
Come on, charity health care. When the current health care system gets through with your ass, you will certainly need charity, Unless of course you're rich, or have a plan like I have, a union health care plan.

You guys give a retard to much credit.....I mean really..He cant even read what the peice of papper says in front of him half the time and starts cracking jokes about "alcada"....Not to mention presidents dont do shit but spread the bad news....If they are good at telling bad news then they can be president...

When George Bush talks about the war he does it in a way e think hes stupid so we worry about him being stupid and not the war being stupid...Its another attempt to mind fuck the public..If you bought into it then go vote I bet it makes a difference:roll: I mean its not like we pick the president...They made that clear last election....

Go vote for state stuff let the "presidents" go city to city and get their millions they dont give a shit about you....Just that money they get from each appearance...

feel free to disclose here or shoot me a PM about it :D

im interested in it
Well, first you have to find a union job. I'd say if you want the best retirement and benefits, get a teamsters job. Then work your ass off untill you retire, collect your pension, your SS, and get your retirement medical. I have to pay 254.00 a month untill my wife reaches 65 then it is free. Includes optical and dental. BTW, when you are a working teamster you are covered and your family is covered. Some contracts require a small premium payment deducted from your pay. If you are young and can stick with the teamsters, you can retire with as much as 4500.00 a month. I didn't start untill later in life so mine is less. I have a couple of friends that are getting 4,000.00+ a mo. from teamsters retirement, plus SS.

15 years ago many doctors did charitable work. Surgeries, etc, etc. Now, with the exorbitant cost of insurance for providers, made necessary by government not protecting its' citizenry by limiting frivolous lawsuits and putting a cap on multi-million dollar settlement, brokered by trial attorneys, who give mega-buck contributions to politicians who won't consider lawsuit reform, many have declined to "take the risk". Health care isn't a right, it's a privilege, like so many things so many consider their rights. Government intervention is what got us into this mess, if you want to call the worlds best health care a mess, both in their zeal for regulatory practices and by bestowing upon so many of our citizenry an entitlement mentality created by the welfare state.

Gibberish, Free health care is not free, only free when you show up at the place of service. I'm not faulting Doctors, but the corporate medical world. Fuck those assholes and their horses. Let the doctors treat the patients, not the CEOs of corporation that decide who will live and who will die. BTW universal health care would eliminate frivolous lawsuits brought by ambulance chasers as you cant sue the government. There would have to be an insurance plan that had caps for injuries and would be awarded according to the extent of the injury. A plan funded by an additional 1-3% of the monthly tax burden on individuals that fund the plan, a plan ran by the government , not for profit! And think about it, Health care should definently be a right, not only for the priveledged.

don't you love when people fuck up and do not want to pay for it...what price would you put on your leg..
A Tampa surgeon who has been widely vilified and ridiculed for mistakenly amputating the wrong leg of a patient on Feb. 20 sought this week to regain both his license to practice medicine and a measure of his once-solid reputation.

FUCK THAT! I already pay for my own health insurance... why should I pay for someone else's too? I love how you say "the individuals that fund the plan"... in other words... those of us who work will be paying for those who sit around on their ass and collect welfare. I already pay enough taxes.... thank you very much!

Also... I can just IMAGINE what the government's reimbursement rate to physicians and facilities will be... the Medicare rates are PITIFUL. Doctors and nurses go into medicine to help people... but they also do so to earn a nice living. Between the ever increasing malpractice insurance rates and diminishing reimbursement rates the allure of becoming a physician is less and less. Fewer practitioners means longer wait time for services. Got cancer... need chemo? Too bad... can't get you until 8 months from now.....

The government has fucked up just about every program they're in charge of.... I just can't believe some of you want them controlling your healthcare.
