Global Warming? NO SUCH THING!

I saw a good discussion going in a different thread, I decided to start this thread and invite people to chime in to say whatever they feel neccessary.... Me, I don't believe in dems or repubs I have my own beliefs that I follow and some of them fall into liberal and some conservative. As far as I'm concerned there is no such thing as global warming being caused by humans. Think about it, we used to have huge glaciers covering all over the place! The worlds temperature changes, thats all their is to it!

Well, before the ice age there was a really big heat up where the Earth almost flooded. So this has happened before.

I believe it may be accelerated (by a very small amount) by humans, but all in all it is going to happen regardless. I mean think about it.

I can't argue with that, I'm sure it is accelerated a little bit. Another reason I started this thread, is because I want to learn more on the subject....

I think the globe is definetly warming, but I'm not sure its because of why we think.

that's the million dollar question.

to answer it we need acurate climate records of the past, as far back as we can get. and we need an accurate understanding of global climatology. unfortunately climatology is still a young science and it happens to be one of the most complex sciences with many factors and forces contributing to the overall state which have not even been consider or understood yet.

therfore, moderation is called for before jumping to ANY dramatic conclusions yet.

Ok.. I was trying to stay off this topic.. but this is just too big of a problem to ignore- I'm fuckin' sick of watching their bullshit propaganda trying to get us to pay a global tax and reduce population..

First off, the sun is the hottest it has been in the past 1000 years. Also, the years with the highest global temperatures- doesn't match the years with the highest concentration of co2. The raise in temperature also came before the raise in co2.. by like a few hundred years. Yeah, make the graph span thousands of years so the sheeple don't notice the gap- it's a small gap if we make the graph this way, they won't notice..

Funny as well how the scientist in this article is predicting the sun's 'hot phase' will peak and start subsiding in a few decades... funny amount of time to be using.. seeing at the politicians are pushing for a global carbon tax over this (yes, they want to tax the air you breath because 'co2 is ruining our earth') and even more recently they're are calling to COMPLETELY HALT producing greenhouse gases AT ALL in the next few decades.. this will bring us back to primitive living... I wouldn't mind- that's what I want... however.. as far as the masses.. a lot will not survive...

LOL.. want to fight high amounts of co2? Plant more living things- they thrive, turn the co2 into oxygen, we thrive... if this were an actual problem.. why wouldn't they be looking at that?

are you serious? we have ice records from the antarctic going back 600,000 years. they have other temperature records going back a few millions of years.

it is these records that are used to confirm the fact that the time we live in is not the hottest temperature nor the highest CO2 levels by far. if you only go by these records it is clear the planet is not in crisis.

I'm glad to learn new things and thanks for correcting me though

no problem. there is a great lecture by a renown Professor on youtube regarding the real ice core data which HE himself studied which completly debunks the whole idea of global warming, at the present time.

it is important to note that man-made CO2 SHOULD be adding SOME increase in temperature, but it is apparently minor. after a century of fossil fuels burning, CO2 levels are up almost 100 parts per million. noone can be sure how much of that is man, and how much is natural (the planet is warming since the last ice-age), but the average temperature raised .6 degrees. not even 1 degree in a century. wow. major crisis.

I dont think the world has been going thourgh problems like there is in china before with the smog from over pollution ,
I think the weather changes is more noticable in europe than over in states but theres also a lot of strange weather activity over there ,and the polar caps are fading fast it seems. The earth can only take so much human abuse and i think it choking from polllution

I believe that some countrys are lead to believe its not happening for the same reason these changes are happening greed ,

Greed is what has caused the changes and thats why it will only get worse ,,

100% agree FDD, along with how we use our natural resources. The waste of this nation makes me sick. Most people don't know this, but trash was basically nonexistent before this century. On a lot of self sufficiant farms today there is still no trash.

if people still lived like the did before the 1960,s there would be no noticable weather changes
