GreenPower000's (1st ever Grow) 12/12 CFL From Seed journal

I took the recipe from WvMade's journal and kind of made it my own.... (page 5 on his journal)
4 cups warm water, 3 cups sugar, and 1/4 cup active yeast.
i didn't see the packets (active yeast usually comes in packets) at walmart... all i saw was the Jar o yeast ... lol.. like a 4 oz jar.
Hopefully i can get some pics going tonight........

I'm soooooooooo ready for harvest.. and im still a good month away.. if not longer....

How did you do yours? I just used a big can........ mixed and stuck it in there ... no lid.. just an open can.

That works and its easier to change it out because it doesn't last to long. When it stops bubbling and starts stinking of alcohol then you need to change it. Get a lid poke a hole in it stuff a hose in there poke a bunch of holes in it and put it above your plants because c02 is heavier then air I'm sure.

I added another dish of yeast.... the first one is still bubbling.

hell yeah man.. found this thread and have been reading it all morning.. subbed and chillin along for the ride.. I am glad i can relate to these really fun indoor CFL grows with people on here will be starting my journal very soon... keep going but stay patient this time.. you should really try and force yourself to get the bud into jars and cure for at least a week or two this time! lookin good though i love watching you LST..

Yea, i will have to be patient this time around...... I will get it to jars and cure .... all tho... it's not going to be a super big harvest.... I think i can still hold out and let it cure.
Get ya a closet and a light bulb.. a little water and some dirt..... plant the seed and sit back ! Looking forward to seeing your journal ! let me know once you get it going!
I like the LST aspect of closet growing.... you can train your plant to grow how ever you want it to...... I've been thinking tho... next time I think I'm going to veg before I flip the switch to 12 / 12. I want to grow 1 or two plants and Veg them for an extended peirod of time.... no set amount time... just let the plants grow teh length of the box .. tieing it down every few inches ... until it reaches the end of my box (my box is about 4' wide) then tie it around and let it grow back toward the pot (think a snake looping back around so the head is at the tale) then flip the lights to 12 / 12 .... just a thought... wonder if anyone had tried anything like that.

This editor is all screwy ..... but any ways...... I added some more sugar to the yeast pots... and BOOMMM !!!! bubbles galore... they are good for another few days now....

looking great greenpower. you're lst'ing the way i "meant" to lst my girls... splitting those main stems, letting them stretch out. you're gonna get nice colas. +rep for the pics!

well, from my experience, when i made the main branch horizontal and placed the lights above it, the nodes on the main branch started growing vertically, like new tops... so it's a delicate balance to try to do what you want, but honestly i think i had a really similar idea for a future grow... hold on... yeah, i did, check this out:

That would be perfect ! I was thinking like that ... but with out the extra pots.... but that gives me a brilliant idea !!! Grow it vertically (then top) wait for the two main colas to grow, let them grow a bit then top on of them and prune some of the growth back a few inches, dip the topped / pruned stem in rooting hormone and bury it in another pot..... then keep the second main stem growing a few more inches.... top... take one of the two main stems and repeat .... what do you think? can ya follow.. or am I just stoned and rambling????......lololol

hahaha that's funny man, because when i read your idea (without reading my own quote in detail) i was thinking... damn, that's a damn good idea, and then i read your "edit" and remembered it was what *i* had said. man so stoned hahaha. anyway, yeah even if my idea didn't work (with the extra rooting), you'd still have a pretty cool horizontal plant with lots of tops shooting up, good shape for stealth... you'd just have to set up some stakes to hold the branch up (maybe).

anywho, i'll be following whatever lst method you end up going with lol.

ur guirmo behind co2 can reminds me of my lst'd domina when she was young! I like them lst'd like that. I stripped everything but the 2shoots that go up. Many shoots grew from them tho in flower!

Sunday night I put the big can in the box , and Monday night I put the other dish in the box.
Thursday they started to smell, so i added about another cup of sugar to each pot.... as soon as I added the new sugar to the pots it started bubbling again like crazy !

Everything is growing good..... i can see the beginnings of small trics on Nancy... man it's getting exciting.

So ur runnin 2 of'em huh?im not sure wut effects to look for really!im@3&4 weeks flower,so i know i wont see any stretch.bigger,better buds? I like!
