I have been reading about your sips for a while. I am definitely going to be making one or two of these and trying them.
I hand water now, and have tried Blumats. I think I would like this best.

You have some nice ladies and a lot of knowledge on these sips Greenthumb. Thanks for sharing it. I may be hitting you up for some more info.

now I have noticed the last few times I've ran this exact method, as explained, my ladies have taken about 2 weeks to get acclimated to the soil! now I am very highly sure that this is only bc my soil has gotten out of wack as I have stated, and it takes some time for the life to fix it!

well bc of this, I've been doing foliar sprays of micronutes! I have 2 that I've used both worth very well, and I don't have a preference just yet, one is called tm-7 and the other is called 13-essentials, both are pretty much the same thing, and have all of the needed macro, and micro nutrients! I've found this solves any problems before there is one! and gives the lady and the soil, some time to get to know each other! lolView attachment 4281568 View attachment 4281569
at this point, all of your work is done! (depending on how big u plan to grow this plant, will cover that soon) from here on out, all you need to do, it's top the rez with water and em1, I do not measure the em1, just pour in a lil bit, and make sure the rez is filled to the max!

a good friend gave me this idea below, and even the material needed to make it, it makes my life a lot easier and allows me to see how much is in the rez at all times!View attachment 4281570
Watch out for algae with the clear tube. Maybe block light with 'something' and remove for inspection?

no algae can grow in em1! but thank you man, that's a great concern!

em1 is everything to this system! won't work without!!!

well it can work but things would need to be changed, no em1 in rez then u need an air stone! maybe other things idk!

Some searching brought me to:
EM-1 Microbial Inoculant Fermented Micobial Product for Soil Conditioning.
And I'm having trouble understanding why/how the microbes stop algae in water?

I could be misrembering this but I believe the anaerobic bacteria EM1 and LABS are made up of outcompete everything else. In addition to being acidic as well. Shluby can probably explain it all in incredible detail how it all works much better than I. That guys got books worth of good info in his head. Maybe he'll chime in if schools not to busy.

if you guys aren't already shluby ^^^ the guy were talking about is a great person to follow, his methods are slightly different, but Jesse is right, dude might as well be a genius lmfao, but his threads and post have helped me out alot!
