@Richard Drysift
I dono but they look tasty to me.
Then again I'm a Bongaloid at heart so that looks like frosted flakes to me. "There Gr-r-reat!!"

The only advice that came to mind is that in my experience my reuse of soil slowly made the soil super rich in nutrients (organic naturally) .
So once it was too much for Cannabis, Cannabis doesn't need all that much, the growth became stunted.
I'm not suggesting you are experiencing what I did but my solution to my problematic success is to think of the used soil as input or a componant to the next cycle of compost. The leaching of the previous soil is a way to reduce buildup.

For example, I have used a retail soil mix from an Organic Grow Shop this time around. I didn't have any soil in reserve to start with.
When these girls I have are done I plan on doing the layer cake with a compost pile outdoors.
That would be guinea pig bedding as a layer then green spring grasses as a layer and then a layer of used soil.
Once it's going then I will fork it and mix.

My idea of a solution is to keep the soil I plan to have for next winter's grow biologically active rather than chemically saturated.
A soil, I have found, that is active and yes also at a useful temperature seems to be an ideal in the vigor of the early growth of roots. Roots (AKA "ROOT-BRAIN" by Darwin ) are the foundation of plant growth. If you haven't read Darwin on the subject it's worth the read.

Anyway if that is shame in growing for you we should all fail as well.

Looks okay to me.

So glad you approve; I try to share the good ones along with the bad and the ugly in here.
Hey they can’t all be zingers…
I share my shitty ones too. I'm nowhere near mastering this shit, but if I post my not so great plants I think people can learn from it.

I don't know exactly who you're talking too, but I love reading your posts. I learn a lot from them.

Friendly grower says my SSD plant looks okay; that’s good enough for me…
This ugly ass plant was a mother that was pushed into the corner of a 3x3 veg tent for way too fuckin long; after taking as many clones as I could get I tossed her right into the flower room as over grown as she was. Still among my fave strains but not really this pheno in particular…she’s always so dam lanky but my growmie just scrogged one of her offspring and it’s turning out very nicely I must say. This one had colas nearly touching the floor so figured she’s the first one to go..,

Thanks Palawan for the kind words; I learn quite a lot from you too… speaking of showing people how master growers get shit done and for a little contrast here is a Sweet Seeds Zkittlez plant that has been vegged & LST-ed for a real long time and then monster cropped. Just pulled a bunch of clones from her and she’s about to be transplanted into her final size 10g pot and sent to the bloom room to take the place of the last one currently hanging to dry. Thankfully there was a sale at our local dispo this week….seems like forever since I had to go buy weed.

What I like to do for the final size pot up is start with a high N bottom layer of amended soil mixed with some chicken manure, insect frass and oyster shell flour. Then I sprinkle mycorrhizae and drop in the root ball; fill in with more soil and top with ewc, some fish bone meal, and kelp. 2 Jobes organic spikes are placed 180 deg apart along the outside perimeter of the root ball. Straw mulch, plant tag… done. I might give a tea or some liquid fish mid way through bloom if needed but otherwise it’s mostly water only w/blumats. Pretty much maintenance free the whole cycle this way

OMG am I on Ignore for some people? That's a HOOT!

You gotta stand up for yourself because if you don't no one else will except your mother... maybe. :)

But back to grow stuff.

Is there any interest is seed-grow porn? The bracts as looking good. The seeding is massive.
From Google :
The bracts are small, modified leaves that enclose and protect the seed in what some growers refer to as the seed pod. The bracts, with their dense covering of large, stalked resin glands, contain the highest concentration of THC of any plant part.
Also I'm concerned about the change of season timing so I am considering this tent
Nova Microdermabrasion 48"x24"x60" Mylar Hydroponic Grow Tent

And I need recommendation for an LED light.

Thanks.

It looks to me that your temps and humidity are very nice.

Well, a bit of seed porn after all.

Those two are drinking 1.5 to 2.0 gallons of water a day.
They are still rather young/early so I am just seeing some frost starting.
That is rather good for as heavy seeded as they are.
I bet many of you have not seen new photos under HPS so here they are. Naturally I have to rely on the camera to capture the detail under 1k HPSs' each of these girls has their own 1k HPS

So I have a seed net down and I got in the back and snapped some pregger pics. Remember these gals have had to survive rather then being grown right. I germinated these guys ( 2 male and 2 female ) in August of 2021
Anyway some seed porn of this strain that has no official name yet.

Realized I've basically never posted a pic of my plants here after 6 years. Here are the girls in day 44 of flower. All different strains, can't really be sure that 2 of them are actually what I was told they were but first pic is supposed to be alpha dawg I got a cutting from a friend in 2015 along with the second pic which is supposed to be firestarter. Third pic was supposed to be a GDP according to my cousin but it came in a pack of freebies he got but it's never shown any purple nor does it really grow like GDP from what I can tell. Last pic is supposed to be some form of gorilla glue that my father in law was growing outdoors from bag seed, I asked for a cutting since gg4 is one of my favorite strains. Fitting for me to post these now as this may be the last time I run some of these to make room for new seeds I've been buying up for a year or so now.

My first run under all LED, and first time growing the gorilla glue which is why it looks hungry as fuck, things been just chugging everything I've thrown at it and it's starting to get late enough I don't want to push too hard anymore.

All grown in 10g pots of coots mix using a local vermicompost and craft blend and build a bloom with various innoculants.

I assume Gorilla Glue smokes like a heavy hitting couch lock?
Have yet to sample the GG but can confirm that so far it does not smell like gorillas or glue… smoke report pending.
Decided to chop just the one plant for now and push the other 2 back into the bloom room for a bit longer.. maybe even til next week. Found 2 white pistils poppin out on each of them; they look very recent. Foxtailing I believe is what the kids are calling it these daze

No more trips to the store congrats.

I got a freebee auto GG. I'm not a fan of ruderalis but a free seed is a free seed..

By the way your plants look great!

It's been a while so I thought to update the seed grow.

They are getting close with the Calyx starting to look like harvest is near.
Better to go long than short. Better to have bigger seeds rather than small. More water. More time. It will hurt nothing.
I mean this isn't smoke. Maybe some canna-butter but not smoke.

I broke a small branch off crawling under so I can take a closer look after it dries.

I checked these F2 seed size against the F1s and they seem about the same from what I dug out of that small broken branch.
I noticed the seeds are dark brown with burled pattern.
Two were immature out of maybe 35 to 40 removed from calyx.
I little longer then. I ordered paper bags so when they get here I may harvest at anytime.

I will try and grow some Meds once I harvest and before it gets too hot.

Have not done a proper seed run in awhile like a decade; having trouble getting older seed stock to germinate likely due to their age & improper storage. Got 2 each of my blueberry headband and sour diesel crosses currently vegging; hoping one is a male we can collect pollen from. Just flipped them so we shall see what’s what real soon… shits about to go off y’all strap in & hang on

Check out Timber grow lights. Would not be raving about them so much if the lights were not so top notch. Produce quality trichome, dense buds, and tight nodal growth. My plants speak for themselves….

Hey Richard. How's it hanging buddy?

Went with the recommendation of Mars Hydro 3K for that 2 x 4 tent.
I still will be using HPS in the big room. Adding Cobb LEDs tho.

I have tried to explain that I am comfortable with HPS for my strain and that I will be venting the light's heat into living space.

So eh, I already bought the stuff long before it became toxic.

It's all good Dude. To each his own Garden. Grow and be Happy.

The seeds here are popin so I'll be chopping. They will keep ripening but I just need a stash and I want to flower a couple of clones next for some smoke! I'll share that.
I started a grow diary for the Blue Dream cross.

I'm still getting over Covid here. Had shots and they worked just fine but still Covid is horrible.
