The easiest trick I know is to get new beans… have not even tried any of those methods myself other than the sandpaper thing. I did make a cool scoring box out a raw tips tin. Just glued some sandpaper inside with paste. Hoping to back cross my SSD cross to make more beans. I have read that proper storage in a cold dry place of either male pollen or seeds prolongs viability but of course we did not heed this advice.

Definitely not, just found a bag with like 100 seeds from late 90s early 2000s that I kept in a box hidden from my parents lol, it's been sitting in the corner of my parents basement for like 20 years now. Some of it's definitely junk seeds but there are almost certainly some nostalgia strains in there too.

Finishing Week 6 on the flower tent.

First try under a Citizen 180W fixture and with 3L pots.

To my normal scheme of top dressings and some KNF inputs, i decided to go with some nutrient brews, taking into account the small pot size.
But for my surprise i even see what i believe are some over fertilization signs, like the really dark and pointing downwards of some leaves tips.

Basic recipe for the nutrients brews were just a handful of EWC, 1/2-1 cups of the nutrient itself, and some molasses.

More advanced plant (pic 3) is popping some nanners in the buds, but i believe i will be able to control it.
Still confused about the hermie traits: for comparision, i have and outdoor plant that i put on the dark in a closet (also placed outdoors) so it can sleep, and that closet clearly has light leaks, but the plant is not affected by them.

Happy new year!

So, little update from the flower tent and from my outdoor plants, that i didn't show yet.

Outdoor girls are from Kannabia, the spanish breeder; they are in 15gal pots.
What would you do with the lower branches, should i remove them?

Big cheezy dick pics or it never happened…
Btw I’m fairly certain that you must back-cross at least once to name a new strain a new strain… otherwise still just a cross
Hey Rich’d have you grown gorilla girl before? How does it taste ,is it the F1?
Technically yes but I didn’t actually get to sample the bud…
Long story but basically got super baked and mislabeled a bunch of plants… and then cloned them. Turns out one was a male so when I then traded some clones to a growmie he was less than thrilled to find out they were all boys. So the feminized Sweet Seeds Gorilla Girl we had planned on cloning as a mother indefinitely soon became compensation for the aforementioned male clones. Glad I at least got to take a few cuts…
So not sure how it is yet; smoke report is pending but no I don’t think these are the F1 hybrids as they were femmed..,must be a later generation.

Little update, day 63 for the flower tent.

I have two similar phenos, but one is ripening right and the other one is showing some weird foliage and white stigma sprouts, and also giving some nanners.
I'm dealing with higher temps these last days here in my room, so it may also influence the plant.

Pics 1-2 are from the "good" plant, and 3-4 for the other one

As a Proud Parent I can report ( as I believed before it was easy to see ) I have two Boys and Two Girls.
These are the F1s circa 2011.

I also said I was unsure of Cloning in a thread on this site and I'm happy to say, that went exceptionally well. I have clones in a tent.
So it is Seed-City and some shake for this ad hok seed rescue.

So soon there will be F2s' for this cross of Sensi Seeds "The Doctor" and an unnamed extremely up Sativa dominate strain.

With the Doctor I did have a Mango Pheno when making the F1s but I was not experienced and that was one plant too many for my 16 SqFt planter bed and it got culled because it was crowded out. I hope in the F2s the Mango pheno will express itself as recessive. It should be a much more Sativa looking plant whereas these F1s' are closer to the Super Skunk growth style with the exception of one male.

So again, two boys and two girls. It should be a fair F2-ing.

I found this cross to be an excellent medical strain.

So off to a good start.
As I said "A New Beginning."

I have a Correction to add. I had Sensi Seeds and GreenHouse seeds confused. My Bad.
Also after years and years of waiting for GreenHouse to "remake" their strain "The Doctor" ( which they said they would do because it was a huge success but had some variations in the feminized seeds) it looks like they did and it sold out in less than one month. I missed it! Wow... Talk about money growing on trees.
It would be interesting to cross the first genetics with the second genetics. It's totally cool that GreenHouse has all the parent strains in storage all these years too but then again they are the number one seed company in the world. I'll bet they will have another batch in the near future.
