So punish the most productive members of society by taking larger and larger portions of their income? Yeah because after all it's the poor people that are fucking lazy assholes that create jobs in the US. You need to get over your fucking pitty party bro and stop bitching about people that have more money than you. You want to know why they have more money?? Maybe it is because they graduated high school, went to college, and actually took some pride and self reliance to get where they got. The problem with this country lies in the fact that we are ignoring the fundamental fallacies in the citizens thinking that we are entitled to take money from successful people who had to actually take risks with their money; to give to people that sit n their ass and not look for a job because of a "bad economy". It's theft no matter how you look at it. Unless of course, your one of the lazy pieces of a shit I'm referring to. In reality, no matter how much you think its unfair and that rich people are victimizing you and your pathetic buddies, they will find a way to keep making money while you flush your pride and work ethic down the toilet and take their resources. You are no better than a bum sitting on the street with a sign wanting money for liquor.
and maybe they inherited a shitload from grandaddy, dropped out of high school for a career in amateurish fellatio and shitty over-produced pop-music...

...not sayin youre wrong, but sometimes, a little bit of hate for the self-indulgent elitist is totally warranted.

Haha very true. I hit my tipping point on that subject right there. Really, only a small amount of the rich are trust fund retards like Paris Hilton. I don't care really, I'm just going to do what many rich American entrepreneurs are doing, get very loaded on cocaine and scotch and flee the country bringing my assets and wealth with.:leaf:

But for now, I'm stuck working 80 hours a week, going to school full time and having $300 out of each of my checks taken out to give our government money that they will "responsibly use", and helping lazy people be lazy and hate everyone who has money lol. 'MURICA!

Why do people hate on the rich? Even the spoiled self indulgent ones?

There is too much envy...

Everyone should have the right to life, and no one should have to choose between losing everything they have for themselves and their families, and being alive. That's ridiculous.

That's one of the differences between Americans and Canadians; Canadians want to ensure everyone is taken care of. Everyone. Not just those that can afford it.
I don't think people have a right to housing or food either, but evidently you do. So be it.

FEDERAL TAX RATES FOR 2013 IN CANADA

  • 15% on the first $43,561 of taxable income, +
  • 22% on the next $43,562 of taxable income (on the portion of taxable income over $43,561 up to $87,123), +
  • 26% on the next $47,931 of taxable income (on the portion of taxable income over $87,123 up to $135,054), +
  • 29% of taxable income over $135,054.

I know we 'pay' for it in taxes, and it's worth it. Period.

Don't forget about all the local taxes! Provincial income tax is 15%+ in some places, as is the sales tax.

No its not enough! Taxes should be gauged by your income status. Your filthy rich you pay the most, your poor you pay the least. Loop holes and off shore accounts all fall back onto the working class guy/gal who can't makes ends meet without going into debt. What the Hell do you think has gotten us in this position? The filthy rich and their accountants, lawyers and their huge donations to politicians that make sure laws don't change....Give your head a shake...JAS
Do you not realize that's already how it is? The average effective federal tax rate for the bottom 40% of earners is already negative--they get money back instead of paying anything--despite getting about 14% of the income in this country. Likewise, the middle quintile has an average federal income tax rate of less than 5% but earns almost 15% of the income in this country. The top two quintiles shoulder almost all of the federal income tax burden right now, no changes to the law necessary.

Because some of the Rich are sociopathic narcissists that take more than they give?
Most of the poor by defnition take more than they give and there are plenty of sociopathic narcissistic poor people yet you dont seem to hate on them...

Paris Hilton's wealth has no effect on my lifestyle so I dont hold it against her.

Call it what you want. If you want to call it punishment, maybe it should fit the crime then. When I see someone spend more money on a accountant or lawyer to "hide" their income then most make in a year, then pay less taxes then the average citizen...You bet I think that is criminal. Its only fair if the average citizen ends up paying 50% of their income as a tax levy , so should the rich. Maybe if they implemented a law like something like this these, fuck tards that have wrecked the system would spread the wealth a bit. Maybe instead of taxing a minimum wage worker to pay for their medical, how about a tax incentive to these rich bastards...PAY THE MEDICAL OR HAVE YOUR INCOME SEIZED AND YOU THROWN OUT OF THE COUNTRY! 2% of your population hold 80% of the wealth...WTF! Time to find these guys and teach them the meaning of a society. JAS
What are you talking about? The "average citizen" doesn't pay anything close to 50% of their income in taxes--that's the kind of rate that only the people you're demonizing could possibly pay. Looking at all federal taxes, the average federal tax rate for the bottom 20% in 2009 was 1%; the average rate for the next 20% was 6.8%; the average rate for middle 20% was 11.1%; the average rate for next 20% was 15.1%; and the average rate for the top 20% was 23.2%. The overall average federal tax rate was just 17.1%; the average rate for the bottom 60% of earners was 6.3% while the average rate for the top 40% of earners was 19.2%. The top 40%, on average, pays three times the federal tax rate the bottom 60% pays.

Mitt Romney made $13.7 million last year and paid $1.94 million in federal income taxes, giving him an effective tax rate of 14.1%, his campaign said Friday.

Romney and his wife, Ann, gave just over $4 million to charity, the campaign
said. The amount includes more than $1 million in cash to the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter Day Saints and more than $200,000 to the Tyler Foundation,
which serves families of children undergoing treatment for epilepsy. They also
reported more than $900,000 in noncash contributions.

But the couple chose to deduct only $2.25 million
of their charitable contributions. The reason was "to conform" to Romney's statement
last month
that he never paid less than 13% in income taxes over the past 10
years, Brad Malt, a lawyer who presides over the Romneys' blind trust, said in a
statement.

I hate to stick up for Paris Hilton, but she hasn't inherited anything yet and won't inherit very much in the end. Barron Hilton is giving 97% of his fortune away to charity on his death, leaving only 3% to the family.

In the meantime, Paris Hilton made tens of millions of dollars on her own. She's now independently wealthy and has no need for an inheritance.

Investment income is taxed differently than ordinary income. If you take 50% of someone's return instead of 15% of it, you deprive them of the ability to make additional investments.

Well, im not angry now... Watching you two mental deficients wank on about your furher and his overtly shit healthcare is like watching hobos fight over scraps of dumpster food...

You two might actually think you're getting a good deal, but to those of us with half a brain it's obvious you're fighting over garbage...
Anyone who makes 40-50k gets a crap deal that is for sure. 30k and under make out all right.

Where are you getting this info from?

GST is 5%... lol Provinces decide their own PST(provincial sales tax) or combine to make HST (harmonized sales tax).

What did you pay in taxes last year, how much did you give to charity, my guess would be not much if any.
Why are you so obsessed with how much money other people make?

What a jealous little whiny rat.
