Eh.... not really. There's lots of wealth here. It takes less wealth to be 'wealthy' here too.The biggest reasons a single payer will be hard to put in place in the US is because most working Canadians pay income taxes, even the lower income workers contribute. Where as 50% of workers in America pay absolutely nothing in income taxes. Plus, because of the higher cost of living, the average Canadian is forced to live a more modest lifestyle than their average American neighbors.
