HANDS DOWN BEST MASS PRODUCED SOIL??

Have always used Fox Farm Ocean Forest cut with Fox Farm Light Warrior with decent results. Recently switched to Roots Organics cut with Fox Farm Light Warrior and in my opinion got better results than FFOF. Tried SoHum Cannabis and got damping off 2x so that’s a no go. I realize that most people will say “make your own amended soil” but I’m asking for the BEST mass produced “hot” soils

I think it's somewhat of an oxymoron question.

As any company scales and gets bigger its harder to maintain quality control and consistency. Especially as the downstream supplier chain gets bigger you have stuff sitting for longer and can't necessarily control how it's stored or for how long.

I'd say from your list Roots Organics is the most consistent product line but I've not used their soil mixes so can't say to that specifically. But they also just got bought by HydroFarm so will be interesting to see if they maintain their high standards.

Hmm have you ever come across the living super soil they have on Amazon? I think the brand is something like Natures Super Soil. I will say I do love the Roots Organics LUSH though

Was told by the guy running my local hydroponics store that the Roots Organics LUSH is supposedly the same recipe as the late Subcools Super Soil

so as part of this question can we add our own nutes?

I'm thinking about switching to HP promix with west coast horticulture nutes. I've seen some amazing stuff done like that

I have tested ffof and ffof cut with worm castings

Both were fine for growing, ffof was low in a mineral or 2 i think zinc and manganese ph was at 6.7
Cut with casting everything looked pretty complete but the ph went up to 7.2

I just reuse soil now I feed fish oil out the bottle when I feel like it, throw some neem and kelp threw veg
alot of the strains out nowadays are very low feeders

by far the best thing out but I didn't list it bc i didn't think it would be considered mass produced. they are still pretty small company.

I have used build a soil also until I found a way to create my own soil. But, if a beginner wants to grow,This is the best soil but it's not cheap.Howmany time can you re-use your soil three times?

I ran mine twice and 2nd time was fine. added ewc and tried for a 3rd and didn't have the same punch. tossed it and made up a fresh batch myself using some ingredients from them and other stuff I got locally. it's definitely amazing soil but the shipping doubles the price for me.

What about grabbing some Roots Organic "Uprising" dry fertilizer mix to add to your used soil. The peat moss/perlite "base" of your old soil is still good, just add some more nutrient stuff to it.
