Sorry man, but that's what happens when you use all the wrong stuff to grow pot with. lol Nothing you need as far as soil and nutes go will be found at Wal-Mart, Lowes, or Homo Depot. This is what that shit does to your plants. Oh well guess you'll spend $20 on better soil next time huh?
Oh, and you don't have any pics like your post boasts. haha post boasts
There aint a damn thing wrong with using MG. People do it every day. If it killed plants, they wouldn't be the largest mfgr in the US. Try and find a store that sells gardening supplies and doesn't carry either Scotts, Peters, or MG. All the same company. Now the directions on the packaging leave a lot to be desired. You gotta remember, most folks who buy their product have
at least some gardening experience. This is about the only plant I can think of that your average person will just run out and decide to grow. I don't know anyone who woke up one day and decided to grow Dracena Palms, or Boston Ferns, especially with little to no gardening experience.
Your killing your plants everytime you try to add more nutes, MG organic has 3 months of food in it time released by water feeding. When it comes to soils like MG its very very easy to nute burn them since they are packed with nutes already. IMO flush the plants (at least the same amount of water to the size container i.e. 5gal bucket = 5gal water) STOP GIVING IT NUTES, and maybe they will be alright but most importantly STOP GIVING TIME RELEASED SOIL NUTES
Also remember just by giving it water feeds it so when you flush dont go to crazy like the dude above said with the "35 gallons or water" thats BS
There again, directions on the package. They really ought to put it on the package that one should NOT use additional nutes for at least 90 days. That's where most newbies get killed.
is there an organic way to get the ph down i dont want to use any chems unless i have to
I don't THINK OMRI certifies any pH down, but generally it's either gonna be Citric Acid, or Potassium Citrate. Either way, your plants will use it. Also remember that most ferts get N from Urea, very acidic and will drop pH.
I am using mg soil and had similar problem. I was over watering i cut back my watering and the problem went away. flushing mg is just going to release all the 3 months of fertilizer and burn the shit out of those plants. IMHO
Like with organics, it's a bitch flushing slow release. A transplant may be in order if it gets too bad.
Almost any nursery/garden ctr is gonna have a "house brand" potting soil mix. No added nutes. Way cheaper and better.
damn well my girl is about 2ft tall is this too soon to flower and about how much bud on adverage at this height will I be able to yeild? She is covered in pistles and I read that they double size in flower so right now it would workout perfect with my stealth set-up.
Count on it tripling in height. Any less will be gravy.
Yeild is way too strain related to be specific, and it's all in how your gardening skills measure up. Some go by the "gram per watt" scale, others by other means. You'll always be disappointed, believe me.
Another thing to remember about MG is that it pretty much lacks the macros, regardless of what it says on the package. You
WILL need to feed CalMag.
That's what did me in my first 2 grows. I did everything right according to the packages. I DID get the "no added nutes" soil tho. But I thought I overdid the MG, and burnt the living shit outta them, so I flushed. A week later, same thing, and it got way worse.
By the time all was said and done, I had 2 wretched, gnarled, burnt to almost death girls. (That yeilded about 4 oz of
mind blistering weed, so all was good!!)
The second grow was completely organic, but pretty much went the same, really making me feel stupid. The third time it hit me. (OK someone smarter than me told me) Cal-Mag!!!
Haven't had a problem since, and neither have 2 friends who also grow, and they do use MG.
Yep...I'm ripped.
Oh, pbbro. There is a huge difference between chemical and organic nutrients, just as there are huge differences between most chemical drugs and their natural alkaloid kin. Mother nature has a way of binding things together in a way that is far superior to anything we can accomplish. We cannot duplicate
exactly any naturally occurring compounds. Marinol, while chemically identical to THC, has nowhere near the effectiveness of the real, natural thing. Need studies? PM me.
