hey there,
I am in need of help. I have quite a good grow going on... all indoor... numerous strains but the one I am contacting you about is the infamous white widow strain.
This is not my first indoor grow..but I have mostly done outdoor - I had to move my plants into a new and permenent grow room - These are my mothers and I am taking cuttings off of them for cloning. Well in the process of the moving of the plants there were a few days where I had no choice but to wake them for a few min because I had to do something in the room and them put them back to sleep.(Yes, I will be getting a green bulb light but I didnt have one available at the time)
So a few days ago I took some cuttings and just tonight when looking at them in the cloning machine, I noticed some female pistolas on a few of the cuttings... rubbing my eyes in disbelief I went and checked on the mothers... sure enough... 4 of my mother plants went into flowering. (two m two female)

Ok so, Im glad I got the sex on each of these 4 plants but, I DONT want them to be flowering right now.... if they flower I could loose them and right now, I need them to ONLY be in the veg state so I can get more clones off of them. They are under a 1000w mh light that is on for 18.5 hours a day... will they go back into veg state on their own or am i pretty much screwed here and they are going to continue to flower and die. Is there anything I can or should do to help them?
Same goes for the clones, are the few clones that came off of these plants going to die since they are apparently in flowering mode and I am trying to clone them, or will they make it just fine and continue to root and veg very nicely.

Please help.. Im freakin out and getting pissed. I need these things to veg for clones so I can keep going.. I need about 800 plants for a very large sea of green.
Thanks.

Thanks for creating such a helpful thread!

I was wondering if it would be beneficial to use a rooting hormone on normally grown seedlings. Or any plant. I am aiming to get the roots as strong and voracious as possible. I have read honey makes a good organic rooting hormone. Could I dilute honey with water like I do molasses?

Also, I have seen a lot of commercials for upside-down growing systems http://www.topsygardening.com/
A few friends agree this would be a good way to grow marijuana. I've thought about it and the only problem would be lighting if it is an indoor grow. What is your opinion?

here's my Q:
i sexed my plants under 12/12, and a few that i left in a little longer and have now been out for approx 3-4 weeks and are still seem to be in bud mode. there's been very little veg. growth. i took all the bud sites off of a couple of em, thinking that would kick em into veg mode again, but haven't seen any results so far. will this eventually work? (taking off the buds, trying to initiate vegetive growth) any help appreciated.

Hey i just bought a 150w HPS mini light system do i need a ballast? It says the common household socket has 15 amps and this only takes 10 will it work without one?

THanks zvinny, that is what i thought. The buds on this lady look pretty good considering all that I put her through. THe top ones could be harvested now but I am waiting for the middle/bottom to finish. I will be using one of the clones for a new mother-hopefully this works out.

Are they getting better?

Just want some opinions on my girls. These are all clones that have been through major stress that all came about after the high heat issues. They have been looking better however some of the new growth is looking a bit yellow to me. Any ideas are greatly apperciated as I dont want another disaster like my last. I am growing in coco with 30 plite and if there is no plite then its 100 coco. PH water and nutes to 5.9 and use weight method of watering. nutes around 1/2 strength AN GMB plus ST and Calaplex

Some suggestions I would like....

How often shoul I feed them nutes?

What should my PH be in coco?

Should I water more often and on a schedule same for nutes?

Cut off the yellow leaves?

Humidity is around 30% is that too low?

Its always been my experience to take off all yellow/dead leaves... I was told its the plants way of spreading energy to other leaves / parts of the plants. Also soil ph should be around 6.0-6.5.

Now for my Question time :)

When using soil I've seen that some people swap out the soil when they go from veg to flower.... Is this the way to go? And if so - what do you recommend for soil as far as NPK and soil brands? Thanks :)

I'm a new grower and this was my first grow. I had 4 plants in flowering. 1 turned out to be male. I didnt identify it until it was too late. I honestly thought it would be female because it was a clone. So i didnt pay much attention. The other 3 are females and are all seeded.
I have clones that are ready to go in but wanted to know how do i clean up the infected room. What do i do to make sure they don't get pollinated. The other thing is that I had a sour diesel plant that i put in the room 2 weeks after these guys were put in flowering. It just started to flower how do i know if it was infected?

Thanks for your help

Master,

I just received a Purple Diesel clone from a friend, but I'm not sure if its from a mother or a seeded female plant. My question is.. Can I turn the clone I received into a mother if its a clone from a mother?

Thanks

How long does the flowering period usually last for...will 8 weeks be enough time for the buds to reach full maturity, if using a drip system? Also, are there any tricks to speed up bud maturation time?

whatsup everyone i had three inch plants growing in large styrofoam cups with amazing organic soil and little drainage holes.. everything was looking good until when i woke up this morning.. my absolute best looking plant lost all of it's density in it's stem and basically was crippled completely bent over down to the soil..

I searched a few pages and couldnt find a good answer. Im a new grower and I plan to buy about everything at once but want some of thew basics for a test run first. Which bulbs should I buy to get started? Im going to try 1-2 plants, so Ill grab 2 bulbs, just not sure which.

or if anyone knows of a page that shows things to buy for a starter kit, please let me know. Heading to Lowes in a few.
