Great update! I noticed stem purpling on both groups of plants Which one do you think has more? Is it strain related? It looks like the AMARE side trichomes appear to be farther along (more cloudy bulbs). Have you noticed any differences in the plants that are exposed to both lights?

The ones I currently have are the new ones I believe. They’re all white with no blue at all. They seem to be smoother and haven’t crapped out on me yet. Old ones crapped out after 1-3 months
I have six of the new. One has crapped out. Bought extended 2 year warranty for one to cover them all. Problem solved.

Does the Amare light have more blue spectrum? I'm guessing it does.
800 true watts vs 700 true watts.....the Amare SHOULD yield a tad more.

Still in trim jail. Finally getting Over the flu so the wife’s been trimming alone but Amare clearly yielded more although I must say I do think HLG was at a slight disadvantage/was neglected a little more. Will report back after it’s all trimmed
Glad to hear you are on the mend... We got hit with that here a couple of weeks ago... Ahhh trim jail.... too funny! Spent many early mornings staring at a pile of green . We have a little song which is a parody of Nemo aka Dora "just keep swimming" we say "just keep trimming" repeat repeat repeat!

Oh, my numbers are in for this same sort of grow using Saberish Bars vs. The Bar-8. Unfortunately i was not able to separate the x2 & only have a total:
-1700w = 7.38 #'s over a 12' x 4.25' area with x4 FuelBombs in 7's. Canna-Spec Purpled out like crazy & was slightly ahead on finish time. Best I have done with the Bars as of yet considering the area as a whole.

Yeah but he took the diode covers off on the Sabers to increase the efficiency over the Amare which still kept him at the same ppfd, just 100w less. Both fixtures are prob close to equal electrical efficiency (w/ or w/o lenses) by .2. Amare being the higher of the x2 I'm guessing but w/o Third party testing i can't say that for certain. I'm certain (i see all the spectrums & test results) but you know what i mean.
@Mikenike , is that a Pheno you kept from a pheno hunt or is it just clones off the one pheno you had? Looks almost like the Wedding Cake Parent of my GPS seed crosses i saw in a video.
Good work man! I applaud you for the maintenance of your plant health! Low EC throughout whole grow too hu?
Did the colors pop?
Goodluck Trimming, may it be over with sooner then later. I know what its like. Took me x3 weeks of everyday trimming with x1 helper this last run. Ugh, life just goes right by. Don't forget to take your Vit-D.
Peace! Have a good day bud!

No I didn’t hunt for this, it was gifted to me from a buddy. I’m not sure if the breeder cut was supposed to be a high yielder or not since they run it in production but it seemed average to me. I am doing a small pheno hunt now tho and will be back to the side by side after I find a keeper this next run.
Maybe Amare does a little better hung higher. I have both lights about 4ft from canopy right now, hlg at 400w and Amare at 380w and both sides at 380-400ppfd. Maybe my meters jacked or maybe because I didn’t let Hlg warm up first but that seems a little odd. Doing all 8 bars for veg this time instead of just 4

Love those gifted pheno's . Going to go slightly off topic. I have done crosses in the past and have had good results. I jut did a cross got some nice looking beans but for some reason they won't pop. Can you get a whole batch of duds???

That's weird, didn't the Amare need higher wattage to equal the Sabers w/o the diode covers?
Do you happen to have any pics just prior to harvest backed away from the grow space so we can see the whole plants next to each other to get a better idea of the growth trait differences?
Did you have to leave the Sabers plant up a few days longer to get the cloudy trichs?

I would assume yes you could possibly have a batch of duds, how likely that is I’m not sure I guess it would depend on your breeding process maybe, do the seeds all look mature?

Yeah really weird. Yes Amare was about 10% higher throughout the whole grow. I’m gonna go back with the meter mid day after they’ve both been on/warmed up a bit. Growth on both sides looked pretty similar except HLG had more leaning branches due to thin stems, where amares leaning branches were more from weight with decent stem size. And hlg was harvested only one day after Amare at about 5-10% amber. Sorry these are the only ones I took before harvest
