I doubt it, but I will need to get the final results from this grow to determine what works best for me. It is not done yet and we could still get some PM, bug, weather, regulatory,...issues. Not counting my chickens just yet.
Got the last of the pool plumbing done today! Did some vacuuming but I need to get some new parts so I can use my vacuum with my new bigger skimmer and pump.
It got up to 95 degrees here today and it was still 90 at 4:30! Fucking watered 3 times today and they still looked thirsty. It is now 11:30 and it is 69 degrees.
It looks like the main cola on the Micro Clone is dying from the storm damage. Damn - that is the biggest of all of the colas. Growing outdoors is such a crap shoot. I need to just make the investment and go 100% indoor and grow Gardenias and Plumerias outside.
You are not wrong there, Mo outdoor growing sure is different from indoors. Up to a week ago I had two great plants, now only 1....but hey, at least we don't have to pay for the electricity!!!
I am sure you'll have a few nice colas from them....just a few!
Started putting the greenhouse together today. Some of the tops are hitting the ceiling and will need to be trained. Looked like it was going to rain today and then the sun came out and cooked the garden. Girls seem to be liking it. The WOG is fading hard now too, except for the broken branch, which is staying green? Picked up a roll of temporary fence to use as a ScrOG on the WOG. The holes are small so I may need to remove some of the webbing. Overworked the back today but I did not fall off of the ladder!
Got the pool cleaned a little more. It is so nice to have the pump and filter back on line
I put up the plastic (3 mil) to cover the Big Clone from the rain and to keep her dry from all of the dew we are getting with the lower temps. The wind was calm so it looked like it would work.
Had to move some colas that were still too high and touching the plastic.
This worked great until the wind started blowing. The plastic ballooned up and ripped off of each clamp one by one. So now I have the opaque white vinyl top on. No Sun gets through with this cover, so I need to figure out an easy way to peel back the vinyl when the sun is out and slide it back when night falls or inclement weather visits.
It's totally fine I just have to be more realistic in my thoughts of outdoor growing. It's a completely different situation than indoors with completely different issues.
Day 176 for the Big Clone and day 172 for the Micro Clone.
No rain yet. The cement was a little wet from some heavy mist but no rain. The Big Clone is safe from the rain and the dew (and sun) because it is covered with a tarp. The WOG is fully exposed to the elements and seems very happy about it.
Saw a bud worm on the WOG yesterday. No poop signs but I need to see if I can spray BT on flowers.
Started smoking an e-cigarette and it is very nice (used it at Disneyland last night). They make yummy flavors like green apple, cherry cola, and now I can get the clove taste without the clove toxins Can't wait to figure out how to make an MJ oil the right consistency for this gizmo
those hairs are really long never seen that before. thats an awesome lookin plant. i hear purple stems on the leaves means good plant health. what are you feeding it and how often do you water it?
Feeding them less now and watering less because of the cooler temps and dew in the morning. The girls in the ground were getting a good soaking 1 to 2 times a week. The Big Clone in the trashcan was getting watered twice a day.
