I started on this journey in the early to mid 70's with 3 friends when we were getting weed for $30.00 / OZ it would either give you a monumental headache or it would make you feel super stoned with the giggles and an ability to eat your weight in cheetos.......but being young teenagers we didnt always have money........so wr started planting seeds out of our bags and one day call it luck or a fluke wr harvested our first true sensi female sativa......I can still remember that FANTISTIC SMELL
and the buzz O M G.......we were hooked then.....hell we thought we discovered something untill one of our group who had an older brother told us the secret of growing true sensi weed and that my frirnds is where we learned about males and females (weed that is).......to this day one of my original friends tells me that some of the best weed he ever smoked came from a bud that I had given him that had a few seeds in it and he saved the seeds and grew them out the next year and was fortunate to have a female in the bunch....I truly believe that we came along at a time when we were acustomed to weed that maybe wasnt the best quality but we didnt know that at the time when wr grew our first true female sensi plant it just kicked our asses and we never looked back as a group we strived to do that year after year many years wr did just that and other years we bombed but I can say that I never ever saw a case of (mold, mould, or budrot) or any other plant malady untill wr started purchasing seeds from seed banks snd what does that mean.......how the hell should I know
I'm just a 56 year old head who has been lucky enough to have been doing this wonderful thing that I love for a long freaking time and in the mid 70's we were doing it and doing it well outside in good ole mother nature with Bag seeds

60`s and 70`s, How about teens twenties and thirties ? Pot goes way back. They guy I learned from always said , "if you don`t sell, kill the males and you wont have seeds. (sensi) If you sell, it`s buy weight and why would you not. Seeds brought weight to the scale. Most people bought, but by the time it reached you, rot and mold has set in to the bails. This is why he grew, all his biker friends grew and a few others. Most didn`t want to wait the season, but I learned quickly that if you grew enough, you never had to wait after the first season. There was no such animal as the hermaphrodite. Not till the mid 80`s did I see my first one. What a sin that experiment down in Mexico was. Hermies were created, not natural.

Back in the 70's I used to get high with an old retired merchant marine sailor in Seattle. He told stories of walking down the gangway from his ship, with 50lb bundles of Thai-stix, in the 30's before it was illegal.......THOSE were the days!......

Wow, now those pics really bring back memories. I actually saw most of those strains in CA back in the day. Very cool!
Also I too would like to know more about this "experiment" in Mexico.
Land race Thai is about the most her I prone you can grow..
Thailand is a pretty long ways off from mexico, so there goes that Bs theory..
Not like that's the only reason either..

Cannabis is not native to Thailand or any of Asia or Philippines. Nor is it Australia or any of Europe. But it`s there, not all shipments go to the US. Anyway, in all the books, recorded history or magazines I have looked in my life, before the mid 1980`s, I`ve never seen or heard of a Hermaphrodite,....eva !i If someone could come up with that, I will be impressed, then disregard the High Times article in the late or mid 80`s addition. It was a very interesting read about the use of Gibberellic acid on Cannabis and how it failed. now we have Hermies !i

Cannabis is first noted to be used by the oldest neolithic culture in China, 6,500 years ago. To say it's not native to Asia is highly incorrect.
