How much income are you losing to the covid-19 pandemic?

We all got them US Blues.

I saw that movie at a tiny movie theater in SF while I was on leave from the navy- the guy who did the animation, Gary Gutierrez was there and after the movie he took questions from the audience, one of whom asked "what drugs do you do?" Gary answered "pretty much all of them..." and we all had a good laugh.

I don't know, man.

Cutting a person's wages is a hard thing. It doesn't matter if other people have it worse when the there is not enough to make the rent at the end of the month.
Point being: No more poor me. It's all of us. Help each other and be aware of others. Or just keep getting screwed.

Good luck man, hopefully the senate doesn't screw around and get the House bill passed to help you out.

It's not about poor me, I'm interested i how this is affecting everyone. I only posted my own personal losses as an example.
The sad truth is it is poor all of us for allowing the powers that be to brainwash us into arrogant greed that only fulfills their aspirations and those of their righteous name. Wake up. Hear your neighbor and they will hear you. Yada yada. So true it's actually old.

There is a difference between a handout and not allowing the economy to melt because people are stuck in a pandemic. Think of it as a way to prop up your landlord and local grocery stores if it makes you feel better.

Yup, vote Republicans out.

On this point, I agree. You didn't crow or talk about how you were making a killing in the stock market like another person did. It sounds like you took a real hit and yet are relieved that you were able to keep your own job, albeit at less pay for now. Meanwhile you recognized and regretted that a lot of your co-workers got it in the neck. Completely understandable. Oh and a pay cut hurts a lot in many ways, including the next person who gets cut because you had to change your spending habits.

My job is safe and not looking forward to seeing empty desks at my place of work when the inevitable cuts come. It's going to suck. But there is nothing you or I could do to protect those jobs and the people who depended on them. Except, vote Democrats in, that is.

WTF? What a pile of garbage assumptions, oh most holy of holy ones.

How about something specific? What actions do you recommend?

"Vote Democrat"! Pay union dues in "Right to work" for less states. Knock on your neighbors door and say hello. Do a good deed. Just how civil people act. Peace.

How come the Republicans are all of a sudden pro Socialism? Just a month ago Socialism was bad.
