Human rights?

It's kind of like a race-pimp ... except that they pimp for welfare funds. The National Endowment For The Arts would be a good example.

Vi
I would have thought you would be for the Arts as that is a rich mans thing. I could care less about Picasso or Rembrandt or any of those Artists. I'm sure they did nice paintings, but it's only the rich that can afford an original and when they were alive they worked for peanuts, the hypocracy in the Art world is boundless!

Forget the Masters ... the NEA is all about promoting artists who cannot make it through "normal" channels. A painting of a crucifix suspended in a jar of urine, or a Catholic Nun smeared with elephant dung for instance.

Oh, and by the way, one needn't be rich to appreciate the fine arts.

Well, there's no shortage of stupidity, thats for sure and to finance slackers for the sake of "art" is ridiculous!

Exactly right, Med ... and they are financing these slackers with money that was taken by force and the threat of violence through our tax system.

Referendums seem to be the only IMMEDIATE way forward. With all legislation open to public voting we wouldn't be in a position to argue about the inane laws we have to live by.

Do you have that privelege in Britian. In the USA, we have to rely on our elected officials to bring change, and the one thing they'll never change is their status!

They are very rare, but they do happen. If parliament are working for us, then surely we should be able to vote on all legislation.

To me, referendums seem like an ideal solution. Maybe we should vote on it.

Noticed your change of avatar med'. Harvested already?

Noticed your change of avatar med'. Harvested already? No, Just a light wave of paranoia, The less personal info the better, No harvest yet, soon, maybe 2-3 wks. I tried a premature dried out bud (layed up against a light) and was stoned for 6 hours, 2 tokes on a bong. Does that tell you how lightweight I am, Man, the finished product will make me comatose. Probably wouldn't even phase you. I used to be a heavy toker, but now I'm very lightweight.

I know what you mean about those light paranoia waves. I get those when I read posts on cannabis-cancer connections or the ones about getting busted on forums. I usually find a good hour's strenuous exercise sorts out these little niggles, or maybe a healthy-but-filling meal.

Apollo-11 is a strain of marijuana that causes fits of paranoia in light-weights, newbies and demented liberals.

Why thank you, Med. And to think ... I wasn't even trying to be kind.

Vi
Believe me, that I know. I was being sarcastic. you are all pissed off now that I refused your meet. I told you it wasn't personal. Just being cautious, Chill out bro.

I think you should meet. Vi's an old hand at this game, and from what I can gather he's been a member of forums for a number of years. I bet Vi' has lots of contacts in the growing community. I think it would be good for you med'.

Also, I reckon that you two would get on really well. It's far easier to talk face to face than trying to write what you think. Sometimes you just have to throw caution to the wind.

I am not interested enough in the growing community to get involved with growers. This is an experiment with me. I don't even know if I like smoking the stuff, as it has just made me paranoid on the two times I've tried it. I've been completely sober for 12+ years and don't know if I want to become a stoner again or not. I used to get up in the morning and burn a joint as I got out of bed, and stayed stoned the whole day, Cocaine ended that!
It could happen, but not untill I legalize my situation. I've been told that for $150.00 I can get a letter from a Dr. allowing me to apply for a state liscence, something I have been considering, although there are ramifications to that scenario also, like The state makes it legal and puts you in a database, while the Federal Govt. holds it illegal still. Paranoia dictates that the Federals will get the state records and come after you just to make a point. Here in the U.S., we have separate governments from the 50 state govt.s to the encompassing Federal govt. While it might be legal in Nevada, It is not legal Federally!

You worry too much.

I've never been to jail on a MJ charge in 65+ years, And I don't want to start now! I enjoy the banter on this site and don't feel I have to be stoned to have an opinion. I may or may not smoke this stash I'm growing, but if I don't, It will make someone happy, I'm sure! Most of the opinions I opine on this site have been cooking in my pea brain since I started smoking 40+ years ago, so I feel qualified to argue with stoners! I had my mind "expanded" in the '60's, '70's, '80's, and early '90's, so I think I qualify. In fact I might be a voice of reason because I speak from sobriety with a stoner background, one never knows does one!

Well, now that you've aired the laundry out in the public, Med ... I have no desire to meet up with you in person next month. Just based upon what you write here in the forum, with all of your personal attacks, and the physical threats you've made in public and in private, I can tell that you are not one to be trusted. Nuff said ...

Vi

PS: You might as well flush your stash down the toilet, Med ... its going to waste anyway.

Physical attacks, are you nuts? I am the least violent person you'll ever meet. whatever postings of violence I may have made were in jest, as I have never or would never carry out a violent attack against anyone that didn't provoke one. The self protection mode kicks in in everyone when confronted, and I am no different. If you really believe that I mean you harm, then you have been misreading me entirely. The reason I don't want to meet with you is obvious, We have nothing in common and to give up my home address to someone that hates me would be extremely foolish. Rest assured I will not entertain an attack upon you, it would be a waste of time and effort! I still think you are a selfish libertarian jerkwad! (more personal attacks?) Not really, only my opinion!

Well, you could have fooled me, guy. What does it mean when someone sends private messages, and/or makes threats like: "You asshole, if I ever meet up with you, I'm gonna beat the shit out of you!?" ... What exactly did you mean by that? Didn't sound like brotherly love to me.

I've been posting on cannabis sites for six years now ... and you are the very first person to threaten me with violence. Congratulations for being such an ass wipe.

And by the way ... no one even suggested that we meet at your home ... not even close. Just a simple cup of coffee at a restaurant would have been just fine.

And by the way, Med ... if you are a typical 65 year old guy, I think you would think twice about getting physical with me if we ever DID meet. Three days a week at the gym playing footsie wouldn't cut it for ya. Nuff said on that subject.
