Human rights?

And by the way, Med ... if you are a typical 65 year old guy, I think you would think twice about getting physical with me if we ever DID meet. Three days a week at the gym playing footsie wouldn't cut it for ya. Nuff said on that subject.

Is that a veiled threat? I detect some form of inferiority complex in the physical arena. I'm sure glad I don't have to prove myself to you. I'll just say this, I've always taken care of myself and have no fear of your threats. since we'll never meet it won't be an issue. You seem to think I'm a 5 foot bald guy, man you'd be in for a surprise, for that reason alone, I'd consider meeting you but I think not. I just wish you could see what I'm trying to get accross here in these forums. It's not about us, it's about Humanity and the possibility to make it whole. Where we differ is you are for you and I am for me and everyone else. I wish I was filthy rich so I could make a difference in the world, but thats not my Karma. So I can only harp on the rich to try and shame them into being generous, I'm afraid it's a futile endeavor and my experiment has failed, so I'll just pray for change and as the old saying goes "Hope for the best and prepare for the worst"

Nope ... not threating you in the least. Only stating fact.

"So I can only harp on the rich to try and shame them into being generous, I'm afraid it's a futile endeavor and my experiment has failed ..."

A lot of people have come before you with the very same idea Med ... and they ALL failed. Even with commanding great armies, giant prison systems, slave labor camps, they still failed. The only way to stamp out human nature is at the end of a club.

Vi No I won't believe that, I believe inside every person there is a saint waiting to get out, there is also a Devil, and at present he is driving the bus, when the bus wrecks, the saints will take over, I realize this is metaphoric, but this I believe with all my heart. My head tells me different and most humans see it that way. I have had a metaphysical experience or three, and can see some things others can't. I know that good will triumph over Evil, Maybe not in my lifetime, but soon, Get on board, the train is leaving!

You beleive you can see things others can't med'? I could tell you what you are really experiencing but I think you'd still prefer to believe that taking mescaline has turned you into a Shaman... not a real one... but the ones from the stories. I'd be interested to know what these things you believe you see are. Would auras be one of them? I'm asking because going back to my lsd days I believed a lot of shit like that myself.

There are no saints or devils merely the propensity to do good or evil. Also where good and evil meet in the middle is a massive grey (gray) area.

Good will always triumph over evil as evil believes it is good.

:spew:I don't see auras or anything like that, I only have an awareness from my experiences that most people don't The peyote experience let me see beyond the physical world. for example; You can be in two places at the same time. You can take on the feelings, as if you were one, of any living object, birds, trees, animals, water, etc. The water experience was pretty intense. Here's the one you've been waiting for, You can fly! I know this seems impossible, and for a novice user you would probably just get sick and see colors. There has to be a complete cleansing of body and soul to achieve these intense stages. It took me months of taking peyote and doing it the Indian way to get there.. I also realize this is only a state of awareness, and is in the mind, but life is a state of awareness, and you are what you think you are and you are where you think you are. So life can be what you think, for that is all you know. Altering conscienceness is altering your reality. When you can look into someones eyes and see their soul, and diagnose any illness they might have and cure it on the spot, I think you have something special. Let me be clear, I can not do this, but the ancients knew of this power and used it, Hence the term Medicine man. The Ancients had this healing power, but the diseases the white man brought overwhelmed them and dessimated their ranks. Peyote is a great gift from the creator, as is pot and all natural mind expanders. They can be used for good or evil, it's up to the individual! Let me be clear on one thing. If you want a true spiritual experience from peyote, you must get only the medicine that has been blessed by the Medicine man, there is a whole ritual that goes with the harvesting of peyote. If you thought the pot harvest was a celebration, you should see an Indian peyote gathering celebration. Have you ever heard of the thunderbird the Indians conjure up, it's real, I've seen it. It had a wingspan of at least 600 feet and when it flapped it's wings the wind generated was enormous. It flew over our heads going up a canyon to visit an Indian Mitote, a celebration of life, they had called it up! Now when you actually see these things, your perception of life changes, you think what the hell was that, could that be real. I had an Indian princess for a friend, and she was a pure spirit. she could literally fly her whole body to places, example: we were in a canyon in Az, a beautiful serene place with 3-5 hundred foot cliffs surounding us. She said she was going to go up on the top for a while and I thought, man thats a climb. I was in top shape and knew it would take me at least 20 minutes to get up there. She walked around a huge rock where I couldn't see her, and when I looked up at the top of the canyon there she was, standing on top, about 500 ft up a cliff. Now you say impossible, I say you have to experience it to believe it! She stood there for an undetermined time, and then she turned and walked out of sight, I turned and looked at the rock and she stepped out from behind the rock. How did she do it, I know not because I never achieved that status. I was not as pure at heart as she and probanly could never achieve her ability, but she made it to the top of that cliff in seconds. Now are you intrigued, or do you just think me nutzo. Life is what you see with your mind. To be whole it takes all three, mind, body, and soul! Get busy ~LOL~

completely nutzo.

To have visions while high on mind-fucking psychadelics is fine, to believe they are real is nuts. You see what you want to see, even if it's nothing at all.

"So I can only harp on the rich to try and shame them into being generous..."

I gather then, that the Peyote experience causes one to see success as something "shameful" that must be punished?

If by "excessive greed," you mean aquiring wealth through the violation of the rights of another, then I will agree with you. But, if you mean aquiring great wealth through hard work, working smart, saving, investing and helping other people get what THEY want, then I don't agree. I'm just very thankful that I live in a country where great wealth can still be attained without the envious bastards plundering it all through government edict.

I agree with Vi'. There has to be competition. Unfortunately, in competition there are always going to be winners and losers, and nobody likes losing.

I consider myself poor... I don't own my own house, and I don't have a career. Yet I still recognise the fact that I am where I deserve to be. I really hope that in another 35 years I won't be considering myself a loser...

skunk ...

You have a very healthy self image. The envious do not.

Vi[Well to be honest I might be Jealous of the freedom that money can bring, but fuck the money for moneys' sake. And Vi, rest assured I am not envious of you one bit. A lonely old man that lives alone, No thanks! I have my family and we are a unit and we all help one another, we have our trials but overall we're fine! You all can stop worrying about poor little me! I see Skunk as The "A" personality with the drive to succeed and I sincerely hope he does. I don't compare myself with others as a way of legitimizing my existence. As Popeye would say, "I am what I am"!

Med sez ...

"Ok, I'm sorry, I was just saying there are other values besides net worth and yes I was being mean. Forgive me! You accused me of being envious and I was refuting the call!"

OK, Med ... you're apology is accepted. Now, go back and reread my post. There is nothing in it that accuses YOU of being envious. You've taken it personally when nothing personal was intended.

Skunk sez ...

"Come on Vi', chill. Sometimes you've got to hit low to win."

Sorry, but I have to disagree. The only reason for personal attacks is when one runs out of logical discourse.

I'm pretty sure this was directed at me. Now you can say "you're just being paranoid" and I'll say "yeah right"! And we'll have the usual Mexican standoff! No slur towards Mexicans intended! BTW do you think I'll get a couple a ounces out of these 3 plants?

It's about perspective... it depends what you class as a personal attack. As med' pointed out Vi', insinuating med' is envious could be deemed a personal attack.
