Let's take a look at you:

View attachment 4791455

So you mean to tell me you signed up here on November 18th, 2012 and then you waited.

And waited.

And waited.

And waited.

And bided your time.

And just read.

And then mulled it over.

And mulled it over some more.

And then you made your first post 8 years, 1 month and 22 days later?

That's the kind of shit bots do. They sign up for multiple accounts at the same time, then come back to them when they get banned later on one by one.

So, tell me new sock puppet, what was the name of your account that got banned?
Ooooof you got me! You're so fucking clever...

If you would simply click the See More button below that page you took a screenshot of, you'd see my first post was made when I was first time growing. SINCE THEN I did not grow, and there was no reason to be around like a loser as you are... hence NO - FUCKING - POSTS!
If you read my latest posts, you can see that I am a newbie! Hence the signature; SEASONED NEWBIE!

What makes me differ from fuckwits like you is that I fucking read, learn, adapt, and always have better outcomes... so now just stfu and move on please.

OK, enough chest bumping guys. It does not become either of you.

Tacomac, in this case you are wrong. Hydrogen Peroxide does help germinate seeds, I read a scientific paper on it when I was first figuring out hot to have a good success rate. I'll see if I can find it again.

Just a preview, will find another one.

Enough?

Please read the first post, I have already attached a scientific paper but this ignorant fuck refuses to get educated so don't sweat yourself.

Yes I use it...Im not a chemist but my understanding of H2o2 is... 2 hydrogen atoms and two oxygen atoms the 2nd oxygen atom is unstable and will attach itself to anything organic, if that organic is bacteria it'll oxidise/kill it, if it's roots or seeds it'll oxygenate them, that's the reason I use a plastic jug showed earlier.
Happy growing!

Just a thought for you. Did you consider you are your antagonist by means of your response? Just saying. No winners. All get wet in a pee fight. LOL.
Well, I just can't stand ignorance by any means... but you're right, I'll just let him be as he is.

I just wanted to help some people that might have been looking for what I have finally found out after spending some time and make it easier for them. Never expected such a shit show.

Welcome to RIU. Carnival of wonders and horrors. Just don't eat anything and you'll be fine.

Trying to get this to be a good place. And still adding to the issues myself.

Taco is normally civil and funny. One of those days we all regret I hope. And forgive often. You will need some at sometime.

Welcome aboard.

As you noticed, he was not listening to you. Thought a few support docs would help. I felt his demeanor to you was unbecoming. Probably will taint my thoughts about him if I see him in other posts. I will go back tho the Political forum here where things are a little more civilized.

Thank you... I hope I won't get blamed for not hanging around except for when I'm growing again :D I'm not really a forum person but get what I can and give what I can when needed... I'll keep in mind not to eat anything here lol

On the whole it's a good place, there's a lot helpful knowledge pleasant members, some I regard as friends.
like the odd bone in fish fucking annoying but the fish is still good.

That’s no reference to Taco I've never had any cross words with him nor noticed him being a prick, probably just a misunderstanding/ misinterpretation :peace:

Get ready to be accused of being my third side account along with @MICHI-CAN :D
Anyway, thanks for the support... the docs will at least help me learn more on the topic if no one else.

I am one for technical documents.

Like I kinda get where Taco was coming from; maybe if I re-word it not so harshly "If it aint broke, don't fix it". But yeah the debate got blown out of proportion. I have always had good results popping seeds with just water and most likely won't switch my method. But this is very fascinating and a good read when you get to the technical aspect. I'm glad you posted this.

I used Hydrogen Peroxide as an aid after I bought some seeds from one supply and the seeds did not pop. I found out one of my outdoor plants got frisky with someone else's pollen and I got a whole whack of seeds off it. I have been just doing the paper towel and baggy routine with them, A day and a half and they were ready to drop in soil. I am guessing they are popping so quickly because they are only a few months old. If they were older they might take a little while longer. I experienced some that took a week to peek out. Is it needed or not? It depends. The papers say it also helps the plant along on its first days. Now I keep a bottle around just in case.

I have been looking into this method and talked to some members in this forum as well... it is generally claimed by the users of h2o2 that their seeds definitely have a higher percentage of germination rate when soaked in this diluted water for 12-18-24 hours period of time.

It is believed that especially the older seeds with a lower chance of sprouting will do better using this method and the concentration ranges from 5ml to 30ml of 3% hydrogen peroxide per 500ml of distilled water. So it is between 0.03% - 0.18% range suggested by the users for the above mentioned time frames.

Some say it is good for killing pathogens on the seeds that have been touched by so many people, some say it clears the wax and softens the shell for an easier sprout, some say it helps the seed use oxygen better...

While further looking into it, I came across the attached pdf of a study that has been made on zinnia seeds, using 3% to 12% hydrogen peroxide solutions, so I decided to share in case someone stumbles upon this post while looking into this method like I have been and make their life easier. There are differences of course, firstly the study was not conducted on cannabis seeds, and the concentration of h2o2 was far more stronger than what weed growers suggest but the seeds were also soaked for far less time, ranging between 10 to 60 minutes.

You can check the study and read every outcome for yourself but in summary, only a 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide is suggested to be used and the soaking should be 10 to 20 minutes long at most. Other than that, plain water outperforms on all timeframes and concentrations...
So you might even lower your chances of a sprout if you use h2o2. But then again, I doubt using 0.03% of peroxide for 12 hours of soaking would actually damage your seed, it MIGHT even be doing some good, yet there is no science behind that.

I personally will soak my seeds in 3% hydrogen peroxide for 15 minutes, rinse, and soak them in 5.5 ph balanced plain RO water for the next 18 hours before planting them in soaked rockwool. In case any of them do not sprout, I might try my chances with longer times of h2o2 moistened towels before throwing them off...

I hope this helps someone :bigjoint:
Good luck in your endeavour, I have actually heard if this method, whatever works for someone is cool.
