If you are making bubble hash do you really need to dry the plant?
I also meant I have larf sitting on the bottoms of the plants in the 5x5 still so I still need to harvest that. Anything in the dry tent that doesn't meet the grade gets thrown into a glass bho tube and ran. Sometimes I'll press a bag or two of flower on a new strain just to see how it turns out, but I'm not a huge fan of flower rosin
Anything I don't feel like id wanna smoke gets made into some form of concentrate.
I'm a picky biatch

That's the better ends of the 5x5. Had some issues with heat and humidity had to cut out some bud rot and toss a few massive colas, then wash the rest with hypochlorous acid, adding to the time it takes to harvest..... Grrrr. I usually don't take things so late into the summer but timelines were a little messy last season with health issues and the like.
Still got a bunch of larf left in there that I'll just freeze and make bubbs then press it, and make some live bho (the bees knees)
Onto the 3x3!!! I keep procrastinating and sitting here in my trim chair on my phone taking harvest pics instead of trimming .... Lmao. Did I mention I HATE TRIMMING??!?!!?!!?!
I'm finally finishing my minisplit install so as to avoid harvest. I feel your pain

I dry trim because I don’t always have the time to trim same day as harvest. Once it’s dry i can bag it up in a grove bag and trim it when i feel like it.
When i trim i use the ‘trim bag’. Its fast and efficient as hell. Some plants, depending on structure etc come out completely done. Others i sit down and finish em off by hand with scissors. Takes about a 100th of the time it takes to full trim with scissors. I can touch up a pound in a 1-2 hours depending on the plant. The trim bag is awesome. Sure it probably takes a few more trichomes off than you’d like but it aint that bad. I make bubble hash with my trim anyways so i don’t really lose them. And like others have said i sometimes will take the biggest prettiest buds and only scissor trim those to keep something for the photos lol.

I'm still a fan of hand trimming, i used to crush it in a weekend with a couple buddies but were getting older and people have more important things to do than helping me trim lol. lately I've been trimming by myself usually takes me 4-5 days. i have been looking at machine trimmers lately but I'm just too unsure if I'll like what the flowers will look like.

Sometimes machines can work well for certain types of bud but not good for others. I always find myself going back and forth between hand trimming and machine

So I tried something this run in the 3x3 and I put 2 small led panels on the sides of the tent lighting up the middles. Well let me tell you, the yield difference was insane. Buds were hard and fully ripe way further down, and I was left with waaaay less larf. And even the larf is decent. Will be def doing some more side lighting from now on.
