I wouldn't call it a black eye on the community, just par for the course.
There are a lot of shady companies out there, LED selling, or otherwise.
That is one of the reasons I hang around these forums so much, to help others avoid costly mistakes.
Myself, and the other LED guru's, are always on guard against this kind of BS, of that you can be sure.
Yeah its good we got people like yourself but it sucks that all these companies try to get over on the uneducated consumers and get away with it for the most part.

if you are prepared to throw money away at anything without doing some research then you deserve your money taken..

That's the funny thing about the world, you're both right.
It all depends on your own perspective and philosophical beliefs.
Yoda is looking at it from a consumer stand point, Spaz is looking at it from more of a business mind set.
I can see the logic behind both points of view, but I consciously choose to be better than the corporate mind set of "fuck'em if they didn't do their homework, that's not our problem".
Humanity does not grow and benefit from such actions.
Like I said though, that is my choice, that is my perspective, and to each their own.

true... maybe I came across as a dick, that wasnt my intention.... I will gladly help anybody out where possible but at the same time I was raised to be not taken for a fool and thats where I was coming from with that earlier statement

the old saying "if its too good to be true then it usually is" couldnt be truer.

I dont wish people to be taken advantage but money is money and people should question where they put it before pulling the pin on something no matter what it is..

Well said, sir.
I agree with everything you just said, except for you coming across like a dick (giggle).
You may have sounded a tad harsh, but nowhere near being a dick.

I hope these Innoled guys respond to your email inquiry, P. I was debating whether I should order one for the fuck of it. Knew the 320 > 1K claim was inflated but figured they are just using marketing speak like most companies do saying it equals in usable light or something like that. I don't know much about photoshop but seems like a weird ploy on their part if it is indeed doctored. Can't believe no one mentioned this one yet, the first red flag for me was seeing the registrant email address in the whois information: Registrant Email:
@gmail.com <<<<< Come on, MAN! Shows a total lack of judgment and professionalism.

Hey guys, also soon to be new indoor grower. I've read many led debates here and elsewhere and it gets to the point you just have to pick one so I ordered a Area 51 xgs 190. Also I ordered when out of stock and a week and a half later I just got confirmation it was shipped today. So basically from the time I ordered it to the time ups says I'll get it in my hands is exactly 2 1/2 weeks. Not too bad.

Looks pretty sweet. Now I'm sure you don't work for them and probably don't care, but just putting it out there. I wish their PAR charts were better. They claim to use a Li-COR quantum meter yet give us somewhat arbitrary data. They could give us better data than the ranges with the "fancy" light spread charts. IDK that's just me being nit-picky, i could see some of the people more educated in the technology not being completely satisfied by that. Though the two things that do stand out that bother me is that they claim full spectrum yet their spectro chart clearly shows a more dichromatic spectrum, at least for what you would except with 450/625/660 and 6500K. That and all but one of the reviews seem to have possibly been written by the same person that put the page together.

Not saying these are no good. I have no clue, could be badass. If they are though the company could stand to market them a little better. Just things that stand out to me that would make me question prior to purchase.

Never seen this light but it looks impressive and after reading their website and finding "Each SPYDR 600 isBuilt-to-Order in the USA with the highest quality materials, including top-bin LEDs from Osram. " I really would like to have one of these but the price is steep.
Unfortunately with their "bars" spread out , it's NOT a TRUE replacement for a 600w hps==== par #'s are abysmal for the $$$$$

6 pages and not one mention of CLW...are California Light Works grow lights that bad?
their new updated panels have barely been released, so hence no info on them yet.............waiting for growers house par test:)

Good eye Skunky, you're right, it has been photoshopped.
I thought I looked it over thoroughly the first time, but I missed something.
As someone who not only works with grow lights, but also works in lighting (aka gaffing) for films and tv, I'm mad at myself for missing it.
The 3 people standing on the left hand side of the photo are only casting 2 shadows
I culd take the same picture with a bright flashlight and just leave the shutter open for a while

Saw pics of the Spydr on your Strawberry Cough Journal, looks pretty nice. You happy with the results so far? How much heat does it put out?
I love my spyder, I currently only have (2) plants in my flower room so I have all of the bars pushed together to receive maximum par, but in 3-4 weeks I will have (4) in the flower room and I will have the bars spaced out and will get to see how it operates with all of the bars pushed apart. I really enjoy the spyder, you can also angle the light bars, so you can hit even all of your buds even the outliers
