Yeah, we're all going to pay for this war. In spades, and then some. And it's all being done with money borrowed from china, of all countries.
How gd stupid do we look in the eyes of the rest of the world? Stupid and foolish. Like kids who just do not realize that tossing bricks off of overpasses is so deadly; that's how we look. Like naive, albeit dangerous, adolescents.
And I do hope that I'm **only** talking about money. The potential for real, heavy duty retaliation from Al Queda is so strong. It scares the beejesus out of me. I have a child who will soon be old enough to "serve" in the US armed forces. I also have, I dunno, a vested interest in not seeing any more attacks here on US soil. "We" have done a swell job of provoking those who won't hesitate to sink to very low measures to show us their anger.
Yeah, you said it. Someone has to pay for it. It'll be us, the citizens. BushCo, Cheney, et al, will all be fine.
When I really start to contemplate this whole train wreck, it infuriates me. How DARE they? And how did so many, many people fall for this in '04? Values voters? What? Jesus was into bombing and pillaging? All that romance going on between the religious right and the republican party was absolutely disgusting.
Interesting, to me anyway, that we've not heard all that much about religion this cycle. Or maybe it's out there, but I've not been paying attention? I don't know. I'm just glad that I have not heard it, because although I would definitely call myself a christian [anymore], it was horrendously offensive.
I guess Palin has managed to "date" the religious right this time around, though. Please. All that crap about abortion? WHEN is that going to stop? It's only a ploy. The republican party never wants Roe v Wade overturned; it will only hurt them by sending many of their most ardent supporters back to whatever they were doing before they made this number one issue. (well, don't forget the hatred for gays--that one too).
Anyway. Yeah. We're all going to pay for this. Un-frigging-believable.
