Enough on this. I surely don't want to get this thing going again. I'm not worried about a heat sig, since I'm growing only two plants now (to see if I can grow) with the intent to expand to 4 plants if I'm successful. I'm using the area under the foyer in a split level (our hot water heater is hidden in this area). I have entrance by way of a closet in a room I use to watch TV. The wife uses the other TV and never comes down to this room. And I'm using a 125W CFL. Yeh, yeh, I know. I should use a higher (HID) set up. The hydro store I support said for my small grow, the CFL's would be OK. Not worth the expense for such a small grow. And others on RIU have been successful. So...

seriously mate it aint ever been like this before, this is cos i aint going along with their thinking. I am standing up for myself and someone who has helped me in the past.

Fair enough cris, but the thing is i am being labeled a grass too. I do openly apologise to everyone NOT involved. But these halfwits are calling my integrity into question.

I really don't see that you are the problem here man. Let this kid spam the site all he wants. We can't stop him and I guess if it makes him feel better about himself, well then.....I just think it's an awful waste of energy and effort that could be channeled in a more positive way. I'm gettin' old and I realize life is too short to be pissy like this over such a trivial thing.

life is def too short mate. All the scottish growers used to be a sound bunch too, ROBIN included, but because of a difference of opinion this has all kicked off. Cant be bothered with it. Why dont the mods just block his ip address?that would put an end to it.

As long as your room temperature isn't out of control, there's no way you're radiating enough heat from your grow room for it to be "suspicious".

Ok, but if I dont vent the a/c somehow the heat it exhausts will re enter the room and the temp will rise rendering the a/c useless? Also what is out of control room temp? we r approaching winter wouldnt a 75 degree hot spot (when outside temp is probly 50 degrees or lower) 5 or so feet in mid air look a miss?

Yes it would look amiss. You can vent into another room in your house or even the same room. Put your intake as close to the floor as you can. Put your exhaust as high as you can. The warmer air will stay up high while your intake will be pulling air that has already cooled back in. This is how I do it and I run a 1000 watter. My temps stay 78-80 all the time.

I am a bit confused, when I vent the a/c into the same room my temp rises I hav2 vent it out of my room I think. Did u just say 75 degrees would look amiss cos if so how am I even gonna do this? As for inlet and exhaust of the closet I planned to leave it open at all times so my a/c would stand in front of the closet delivering air in (right at the bottom)and a 6" clip fan to exhaust spent air (right at the top) and to prevent cutting/modifying the closet for inlet & exhaust sorry if that sounds like a spaz reply but I am new to cultivation.

Are you using one of those portable a/c units. If so just Try to get some of that dryer duct and keep the unit in another room if possible. If I could visualize your setup I might be able to help a little bit better. I assume everyone has the same setup as me and forget that some people live in small apartments and flats.
