is this enough light to sprout seeds

Yo I was wondering would a 110 actual watt cfl bulb be enough to sprout 8 seeds or should I get an extra 13 or 23 actual watt cfl. I would be starting them in cups and also after about 2 or 3 days I would move them outdoors during the day cause they will be outdoor plants its just that for the first 2 days its suppose to be cloudy and rainy after that its suppose to get nice again.

To simply sprout you use darkness (or at least I do). Two to three days after sprouting they could sit on a window sill even. So I think you'd be ok. I'd invest in a 2' 2 or 4 lamp HO T5 and use that for your youngsters.

Not to argue or say "that's not it...etc"
But to get strong plants, once you "pop" the seeds and they are in soil or other medium- they need light to get "above ground" just like in nature-- but windowsills are not a good option for everyone... all depends on where you live, the type of window/glass, the exposure of the window (N-S-E-W) trees in the way etc... Most often, they end up stretched, pale and stunted....

just a 100w output CFL is plenty to sprout ...add more lights as they grow....

If you plan to use CFL's, there is info at the link below--

But I whole-heartedly agree with "curious"...
a T5 would be a worthwhile investment-- much higher output per watt, better spectrum etc...
If you get a 4foot 8 bulb fixture, you can just switch 1/2 of the bulbs to bloom bulbs when you go to 12/12.... until you can get an HPS.... for 10 plants- you'd need a 1000w HPS in a large glass-enclosed hood... or at least 2 of the T5 fixtures I mentioned...
