Jordan of the islands

I ran the BlueCityDiesel Sour Edition, Black DosiFire and the Black GDP Haze..

The BlueCityDiesel I ended up with is a Diesel dominant pheno that reeks of fruity diesel, hard compact super dense nugs.. I ended up with a bit over a pound on this plant and its for sure a keeper..

The Black Dosi Fire tho it yielded the best it isn't a fan favorite for me, the pheno I ended up with had nothing special about it to make it worth keeping, it doesnt smell like blackberry, no gas smells, no og smells, a hint of lemons is about the only thing worth mentioning about this one.. I was kind of disappointed with this one..

Black GDP HAZE.. Now this one shines.. the only complaint I have about this strain is it is not idea choice for growing outdoors up north. This pheno did not finish until november 6th and up north this is really pushing it.. The quality of the smoke on this strain tho is pure quality.. Purple nugs that taste like berry haze candy.. the buzz is very sativa dominant but doesnt bring on jitters or any unwelcoming feelings.. All in all I really love this Black GDP Haze..

In summary my first experience with JOTI was pleasant, I really enjoy the BlueCityDiesel and the GDPHaze, I just wish the Black DosiFire was more impressive.. I will look to run Joti again this year..
Mine smelled like it belonged in a Maynards pack, no cap.

4 red hot cookies along the right wall. The rest are joti blueberry. Culled 2 males so far.

Pic size to large, I'll get a smaller file size

Does anyone who's grown joti outdoors around Ontario have any strain suggestions? Dealt with PM issues last season with our cold/humid fall running other gear and want to try these out!

I'm hoping the community can provide some experiential input on JotI Dutch Treat. I picked up a 12-pack last summer and popped 5; 1 fizzled, 1 showed female pre-flower around week 5 of veg, and the remaining 3 *appear* to be male, though not definitive. My questions that were sent to JotI without reply:

1) Did your male pre-flowers show sex a couple weeks later than the females?
2) Anyone grown this strain indoors? Hydro or soil? How long after going to 12/12 did apical buds appear, and how long after that did you harvest?
3) How about outdoors? When did yours finish outside?
4) Any tips on nutes

Thanx for any experience.

This is my favorite strain from JOTI, after running a half dozen or so of their offerings.. I've been cloning the same pheno for years now

I received it as a freebie with an order of God Bud, and I found it to be the better of the two

It's grown in soil, indoors, using simple A&B nutes . Average harvest for my pheno is 60 days from flip. Dense sugar coated nugs with a very unique smell and taste (At least from my experience)

An interesting trait that I noticed in a few different phenos, is a tendency for female plants to, what seems to be, flower during veg.. They never fully flower under 24hr light, but they grow wild hairs, and show mad trichomes.. It makes it difficult to keep them as mothers, as they are difficult to clone at that point. I inquired about this with joti, with no response given

The pheno I've had for years does not do this, and it is a very trainable, cloneable, and forgiving plant

Currently about to start flowing some Dutch Skunk from joti.. So I am curious to see the outcome of that cross.. Hopefully better than my terrible experiences with their newer Crush strains!

got any pollen?
Culled the males. I had intended to use the pollen on a red hot cookies. The rhc were all unfortunately hermaphrodite.

I went from 18 plants in a packed tent. To four blueberry. They're sticks. I am not overly happy with how this crop has gone so far but Jordan's blueberry are so far, phenomenal. No blueberry smells yet but I'm only 2 weeks in. One is however showing some nice purple on a couple calyxes.

As much as I hate the male to female ratio, I do so far like Jordan's blueberry.

I ran his blueberry, they were strong easy growing plants. I enjoyed the different phenos but one like mentioned before was a racy high, the others were real nice

Ran JOTI's Pure Blue (Blueberry Muffin edition) and ended up with 2 females and 10 males. Ended up with a sagamartha blue male pheno in the males and that was about the only thing worth mentioning about the strain. Ended up culling them all as they were definitely not like the JOTI gear I have grown in the past. I ran OG Kush, Blue City (PSE), Blue Ice as well and had the same experience.

To be honest I don't know if his new gear is the same gear I used to run of his. Something fucky is going on and until things go back to normal I won't be running anymore of his gear.

I haven't ran any of his gear since he did that big drop last year.. I did get a nice bluecitydiesel pse and a gdp haze but those were before that drop..

Exactly. Everything (all lines) before that drop was solid and reliable. Since the big drop/ restock nothing resembles the genetics I use to work with. I'm staying clear till I see some good results again.

He had all his own original lines for years that were uniquely his.
I'm pretty sure he lost all his mother plants at a certain point.
Since then he is using his seed stock to dust a shit ton of stuff from hype breeders.
So much cookies stuff getting thrown around seemed to really weaken his gene pool.
I grew his chemo early 2000s and it was insanely good.
Grew another pack 2 summers ago and was pretty disappointed. Didn't even seem to be in the same ballpark at all.
Luckily I have a bunch of his older stock vaulted.
Next generation still doing all his own stuff and has been around just as long as JOTI.
Same with peak seeds.
There isn't a whole lot of Canadian true breeding projects going on most people just pollen chucking in a 5x5 with some cookie/gelato/cake/biscotti cross from some other breeder.
For good breeders in Canada White buffalo comes to mind.
Lucky 13 does some cool stuff.
Anyone else have any suggestions of canadians doing true breeding?
From what I understand alot of the canadian heirloom stuff is lost like the true timewarps/lasqueti stuff from the islands.
I know the real sweet skunk and grapefruit cuts are still around but seem to be pretty fiercely gaurded.
Pretty bleak situation atm in Canada. Early 2000s Canada was a hub for exciting breeding projects. So much rad unique Canadian strains.
A lot of people got out of the game when Marc emery got busted.
Kush came along mid 2000s and it was hard to move or fetch a fair price for anything else after that.
Cookies came along and did the same thing and the cannabis industry still riding the cookies and even kush train to a certain extent.
All this coupled with the fact that cannabis wholesale cost continues to fall means there is not alot of incentive or money to be made digging through a bunch of heirloom/landrace stuff and spending all the time and money to find something special and work it from there.
They would rather get their 800 a pound for their dessert whatever strain that sounds nice.

I avoided any of JOTI's classic strains for that reason....I agree it's unlikely he still has all the original parent stock around to continually restock his entire catalog. Opted for some of his newer crosses that have positive reviews and hoping for the best I guess lol.

Have Black Dolato and Black Berry Breath included in this hunt, along with some other goodies:
