I can't blame any thing but me not doing a complete job but this is exactly why i planted a bag seed in the first place. I want to get all my screw ups out of the way as early as i can.

I bought the short rider feminized so i have high hopes

shit my temps have went crazy since i installed the fan correctly. its blowing the right direction, just checked that.

where exactly do i place the thermometer? lowering the lights just made things hotter.

im not really sure where the right spot should be, but this is where i have mine. you can move it all over the box and get a different reading every time.

I'm thinking i threw the exhaust/intake off balance. I should have plenty of ventilation but under that reflector is hotter for sure. The fan clipped to it doesn't seem to be helping as i would have liked it to.

Man what i would give to have a air duct to work with

yep the temp above the reflector is 88 degrees, its hotter underneath the reflector naturally.

I hate the thought of cutting the lights down to 23 watt bulbs because i can only use three. I will continue to work on HELL BOX 2010

Yikes mate... This really has been a troublesome grow for you. Every second post it seems that you changed the fan set up...and even chopped a couple of ya plants in one of the fans! lol, I feel sorry for you mate, but good on you for sticking in there. Hope you end up getting something decent of the plant you have left.
Considering the problems you've been having they seemed to be growing nice and healthy. So good on ya. I'll be following this one from now on. GL

Thanks a bunch, I'm learning so much from this experience. Dealing with heat in a cabinet is a lot harder than i thought it would be.

I really like growing plants, And am willing to fail as many times as it takes to get a quality female. The plant has been in 12/12 for 12 days so far.

that's a good idea. I proved today the reflector does redirect a lot of heat to the grow deck. I will install the reflective material on the roof of the cabinet then take the reflector apart. I really wish i could use my big bulbs. (3) 105 watt's 2700k just laying around.. one day...

I moved the short rider to the hole where the bag seed lived. Its under the lights in a better location. I checked my solution today and its 1276 which is light. I think i will start using ro/di water only, it makes the math more simple. I will mix up a new batch of nutrients after i make some water. I make 5 gallons of water at a time of zero ppm using a 75 gpd ro/di filter i bought off ebay a couple years ago.

am i doing right by 12/12'ing this "autoflower" strain? its been 13 days and no sign of sex,

I've heard so many things about short riders not being a true auto flower.

from what i've read, an autoflower should be 20/4 through the whole grow. i'm gonna do an auto strain next grow.

Hmmm Im not sure mate. Im no pro but this is my 2 cents: common sense tells me that if its an auto flowerer you dont need to 12/12 it. Im also thinkin that its either autoflower or its not...no inbetween. So if its advertised as auto then it will be auto an 12/12 will just result in a smaller plant. I dont know...take my advice with a grain of salt.

The reason i went 12/12 was i really was worried about it not being a true autoflower because many posts talk about having to 12/12 it.

so should i reprogram my timer or keep it 12/12?
