the danger w the jiffys is them being too wet .... theyre all peat inside so they hold lots of water........ I don't really care for em I feel like they restrict root growth after transplant..... ive seen people cut the net thing off but that seems scary

Alright guys, it's only been 3 days since I transplanted and their growth is starting to scare me hehe! I put some pics of my fellow girls, the grow room size, and the after trimmings of my lolipop (or whatever you call it, cutting off the nodes that aren't going to get much light)

Wondering If I should continue to wait another week and a half before I flower or not, I don't want them to get too big that I cannot take them out of my grow room. Rumor has it, that once you flip to flowering, they will normally double in size by the time they are done. Let me know what you think gentleman! Thanks!

If your really worried about keeping them as short as possible i would do the flip already, ive transplanted and a few days later flipped to 12/12 and saw no real issues there a real nice size to by the way, usually sativa strains tend to do more streching than indica strains but yes they continue to strech for about 2 more weeks after 12/12 also remember you can continue to use veg nutes for the first two weeks but lightly because to much nitrogen will em strechy buds or some people use half veg and flower nutes i personally continue with light veg nutes. Good luck and keep us updated.

Ps what size grow bags are you using? Just a random questions because i been thinking on getting some @Zenogears

I read somewhere that it's better to let your plant develop a good root system in a smaller container then transplant it into a larger one, then into another one, depending on how big you want the plant. It makes sense to me, that if you do that, the roots will take up more surface area quicker than if you start in a large container.

I should experiment with that sometime, maybe I will with a couple of clones sometime. If I can figure out how to clone! Hehe!

But I used solo cups, then 1galon bag, then 3 gallon bag, and I have some 5 gallon bags too, but I probably won't end up using them. You can get them all on amazon really cheap, you can reuse them, and I like them more than pots because the bags or more tall than wide, so you can put the plant's closer together if you need to. Plus it's super easy to LST with pipe cleaners and the bags because you can just bend the pipe cleaner and stick it right into the bags!

I think i'll wait just a few more days to flip instead of a week and a half, I really don't want them to get too big, if only I had a bigger closet door! UGH! lol. Thanks Lucifder.

that's exactly how i do it ,by transplanting that way it has fresh soil until harvest and less likely have problems with salt build up

You coukd also do that as long as you dont get rootbound but i never really did much of transplanting only from a party cup to its final container im not pushing the way i grow everyone does it different and dont worry youll learn how to clone especially since you got a gandful of em. Youll gwt rooted ones for sure! Your welcome @Zenogears :)

Update: Day 3 of flowering, the stretch is for reaalz! Leaving the MH light in for a couple weeks then i'll switch it out for the HPS. Very noticable growth in the past 3 days, it astounds me. I just hope they don't get too big that I can't take them out of the grow room. Do you guys think they look ok? I haven't used any ferts this whole grow yet, and it'll be another week or so until I have to water again, do you think i should start out with high phosphorous fert at 1/4 strength? Let me know guys, thanks for all the help! This girl really appreciates it!
