Please show some proof. I just called your number...only to be confirmed that they are not an authorized distributor. Should I call again. The only possibility that the person from your number gave me was...that they buy from digikey, then do whatever after that with.
But as it stands now...that is 2 different people within cree to confirm that kingbrite is NOT an authorized distributor.

I’m not saying this to scare you, but counterfeit LEDS from Asia is a bigger market than people realize !

Do you have any idea on what type of volume you may use per year. Everyone has the opinion that using a distributor ( USA ) will add too much cost, but it’s not really true. They buy in volume and get better pricing than many others.


Plus they have access to inventory and can give credit terms 30-60days so you do not need to come up with cash right away.

And just so you all know. I HAVE BOUGHT FROM KINGBRITE. And had planned to more, until they gave me some questionable product, and lied to me about being authorized. So I dug deeper. And have found what I have shared. No one has shown any actual proof of the otherwise. So hate me all you want. But show something. I have not made this up. I have gone through the most official of any channel to come up get the info I have relayed. ANd is all I have done is relay what CREE has told me...twice now.

I just called. I left a message for Melisa in legal department. The operator that answered asked if I just called. I said no. so I will find out for my self when they call back. Why the need to transfer me to legal if Kingbrite is legit.

I set you up. The reason they are not recognized as a authorized dealer is because they don't buy a million dollars of them and now I know who to ask for and I'll speak to him about this. You guys buy from where you think is safe. I'll keep doing what I do and stop sharing. I'll just be a Gargoyle. Funny thing is Supra has bought from them and no problems and isn't more knowledgeable on led's than you?

You did not set anyone up. You lied and got caught. Now how do I trust anything you say. Cool you got a hook up but you should have told the truth.

You should have said "Hey guys, I got a place to buy these but they are not authorized and do not come with warranty buy at your own risk." That I could respect more than being lied to.

Its not about knowledge. Again, there are many sellers who sell products who are not "factory authorized" but still sell legit products without warranty backing (or any recourse for a refund/replacement should something happen). I would hope that if you are planning or are in business building lights that you would not put yourself at risk over a warranty situation just to save a few dollars. It can only lead to either you getting fucked over in the end and money out of your pocket or a consumer getting screwed, neither of which is worth it IMO.

So now that that is clear...where and how am I a liar? All I have said is kingbrite is NOT an authorized distributor like you and they have both claimed. And that is true.
And where did I say they weren't real crees?
When did I say not to buy from kingbrite?
All I did was present the facts on something that you and kingbrite have both lied about. But glad your assumption is that they are not authorized so don't buy from them. What does supra have anything todo with kingbrite being authorized? Never once did he say they were authorized. Keep trying.

@REALSTYLES I'm assuming you're making lights to sell since you've bought so many cobs. How can you provide any warranty to your customers when you know you'd have to pay out of pocket to replace cobs?

What name will you be selling your lights under so we can make an informed purchase...?

LOL really those lights are for me. Remember guys I use to grow for a dispensary and I'm allowed 99 plants and have 6lb dried flower lol. My lights would cost too much I'd rather be the guy that helps you make your own. @Greengenes707 I will always out grow you. You sir have got me turned up. I spoke with Cree again and they said Kingbrite might be buying from one of their Chinese distributors. I'm waiting on the email and for now on like I said I wont openly tell people about deals only the ones who I think are my friends. People thank Green for this. Y'all really don't know about me and that's good. If you knew me you'd know I'm REAL.

You found a guy that's selling COBs at a good price. Unfortunately it's been tarnished from what I've seen.

Greengenes obviously had something set off the alarm that he contacted Cree about. Lighterfighter received items that were not correct, but guessing they were still labeled as CREE parts. They said for him to throw them out, if they were true cree's why would they say to throw them out? Someone posted he was directed towards legal when mentioning KB, hearing they're authorized dealers when they're really not, and having no recourse with Cree if there is an issue just means there's too many risks involved for my tastes, hence why I stick with my vendors.

I don't plan on parting ways anytime soon, but if I did then I wouldn't get the prices I get, and I would still go to authorized dealers for my parts...

Got burned once on knockoffs, not going to risk anything from non authorized vendors again....

Meltdown.

Did not lose a dime going w/ Digikey vs. KB for my CXB3070. While I am sure some items MAY be cheaper, not everything is. I would think something is a little fishy if one item is priced far less than everyone else. Why cant KB get the CXB3070 for a much better price? Makes no sense.
