yeah, coco is a brand new ball game from what I read... I have never grown with coco but I am curious about it and may even consider it one day, but for now the KISS method works for me

Thanks for the advice! it's more about conserving drinkable water rather than watering less. But I'll definitely need to upgrade to larger pots next time around 
I also live near the sea. And there isn't much space or direct sunlight for plants round where I live so I was planning on vegging them outside and chuck em indoors around the end of july. Come to think of it I might not need to worry too much about evaporation. I'm just asking because I don't know what to expect

I get 6 hours direct sunshine at the peak, then it diminishes and by Sept I'm only getting 2 to 2 1/2 hours, but i find they don't need all that much direct sunshine
I had disastrous results by moving a budding plant from sunshine to under a 600 w HPS.(see attached pic)
I had even given extra distance between the bulb ( about 20 inches) and it still burnt the 2 top colas super bad within 48 hours
last year I used a tag-team approach and gave it sunshine and then moved it under 4 x 23 watt CFL lights to achieve a 20/4 schedule...worked very well for vegging, less effective for flowering
going to do something similar this year, but if I do use the HPS it will start at 50% and 24 inches away...but I am a bit gun shy to even try again with HPS

Either way I work with small wattage lamps. two 150 watters (1, at first, then add the other as the stretch initiates) stacked one above each other in a vertical manner. At least that is the plan

My plant was doing very well until my not so brilliant idea.... so I'm rather reluctant to try the HPS again but have no worries about CFL's

My outdoor grow a number of yrs ago was in thick woods, had one small opening in the tree canopy but no direct sunlight. Afghan, 22+ zips 6' tall and 6' across, massive thick cola's, man it was a monster.
Now I use a 400W MH for veg and a 400W HPS for flower. When I first used the HPS I had been in flower for two weeks under a 345W (true watts) LED (SS 400), and when I switched I put the HPS lamp at 12 inches with no problems. I do run a cool tube which makes a big difference I think.
You should always put your had palm down at the top of your plant and it the light it to hot on the top of your hand then it's two hot for the plant.

Ok all you smart folks, I have a question but first the comment.
I have clones in Hempy Solo cups of the two Black Widows, 4 of each plant. After the 8 clones take root in about two weeks I will put them in one gallon 60/50 Coco?Perlite Hempy buckets. Then allow them a week or two for the roots to reach the reservoir and then veg them for three or four weeks either under my T5 fixture or my SS400 LED. That would put them ready to flower at about 8 weeks. That is my expected harvest time for the BW ladies in the cabinet now. Do no pinching or topping, only LST where needed. Just let them go and flower in a SOG. The buckets I will be using are 3 lb plastic Folgers coffee containers, exactly one gallon. They are taller and narrower then the one gallon paint buckets at Lowes so can get more plants in a SOG in my cabinet.
Sounds like a plan to me! LOL
I also have these two larger clones from of the two female plants. One of the two if not both will become my mother plants, will not know till final curing and tasting as to which will be the mother.
These two ladies, along with the other three clones (that turned out to have balls), were put into flower on 1/26 and showed sex on or about 2/6. As soon as sex was determined these two went back under 24/7 and the three males were removed from the 12/12 cabinet and are now resting peacefully in my compost pile.
Ok now my question! Off of one gallon Hempy buckets what is and anticipated yield? I know there are many factors but just some idea would help. ISK what do your two litter bottles yield?

ISK is right. You get what you get.
with that being said white widow is a pretty good yielder. And four weeks of veg is plenty, I guess. Check out the pic of the rootball I posted, that's a 3.5 L container (a gal is 3.8 L I think). She went from seed to 12/12 in 42 days, and has been topped and trained. And she yielded quite good in my opinion. (still drying) But yeah if you're really paranoid about rootspace then def go with bigger pots my two cents

Sunday morning updates on keeping it stupid simple.
Had 2 sunny days and today should be another nice day, so I let the girls hang out in the living room to soak up some rays.

I revamped the grow room again, I bought some 1x6 planks and have made a platform on top of the tub...way easier to move the plants in/out plus gets better air circulation

I am very pleased with the DLF as it's doing even better than last year's indoor sunshine grow
The EM is smaller than I expected.... in retrospect, it likely would have done much better in the 3 gallon hempy bucket
The Revolver is disappointing me, as it's very healthy but just not preforming well, as mentioned it almost looks like it's trying to re-veg.
Once the other two are completed, I'll finish the Revolver by sunshine, as it's not worth the cost to run the HPS
We have been getting lots of sun, I do like the tag-team approach with the natural sun and the grow room

The EM is smaller than I expected.... in retrospect, it likely would have done much better in the 3 gallon hempy bucket

The DLF is getting close, starting to see a few amber trichromes, and I would think the Early Miss is just 2 weeks behind
The Revolver is a right-off, in retrospect, I should have left it under 12/12 for a few more weeks to trip into flower mode, as it's seem half way in-between
This is my second grow with these Crop King seeds, and my buddy also did one last summer, and in each case one of the auto's did not trip
