Hi, this is my first grow and I germinated using the paper towel method. It has been 24 hours in the paper towel and the cotyledons have emerged but no tap root. Unfortunately I couldn’t find any information so I think this thread might be helpful if it happens to others. How do you fix this? Leave it in the paper towel for longer? I ended up putting it in the solo cup and am hoping it eventually grows out of the seed shell. Let me know if this has happened to any of you.

Hi, it’s already buried in a solo cup so I can’t, I’ll keep you updated if it sprouts. The cotyledons were quiet pale, almost the color of the root, but definitely had the split with the 2 leaves.Can you post a picture please?

Update: the seedling broke the surface and seemed to be doing fine until today when I applied a light feed and actually uprooted the seedling. Although after doing this, I could now see that the tap root was actually still trapped within the seed shell. I gently removed the shell and replanted the seedling. I am hopeful that it will pull through but am aware this might be too much shock for such a delicate plant
