I'm also getting off the sativa bandwagon. There are nice sativa strains out there but hybrids can be as potent or more so and much easier to work with.

I have done LST grows with afghan/skunk and ended up with 2-3 ft or more of just branches with maybe 7 inch buds at the tops, they just take up so much unused space for indoor growing.

Sativas r space hogs for sure. But i still luv em. My haze's take about 12-14 weeks and my indica's take 6 weeks. So as long as i keep them cycling it all works out. No one in my area ever has any. good niche market 8)

Speaking of sativas-

Here's some pics of my flowers with a bit better of lighting, still having focus issues, last Kodak I will buy (not a problem as Kodak is going under financially).

I think I'm on day 38... math is hard atm XD

Nice yo!!

14 weeks!! Are you fucking kidding me? I just had to do the math.. That would cost me $2,100 in electricity to flower. Phuck that :).

I'll take my monster 8 week hybrids any ol day :).

I think when this round is over, the nets will be for the indi. dominants I'll just grow my sativas on the ground. the lst'ed stretch will work perfect with the new reflector lights ventilation.. blah blah blah... Im sick of piecing together this room. Another 1000 bones and it will be up to speed. got some new kids up and running today. Alien OG from cali connection. just Trimmed about a lb of this stuff a few weeks ago. and damn its pretty.

Sativas are such a pain, they are the reason I started doing scrog in the first place. The flowers get so dang heavy on those thin little branches they end up producing less when they have no support. The hormonal change that stops flower production in sativas is so much more abrupt, you go from crazy budding to a dull crawl as soon as they send the signal that weight is getting out of control.

Don't get me wrong, sativas taste great and can be very useful for those that need marijuana for more psychological reasons but I gotta say (without trying to turn this into a "what strains are best thread") there are plenty of hybrids out there that have great sativa characteristics and retain the indica growing/flowering patterns.

Now lets get some more bud porn going, anyone seen any crazy colors lately?

So is that an open hood with exhaust vent hooked up or do I just not see the intake?

yes its a open hood for the time being. Just built my scrubber box yesterday so i can run it open.. but still need to pick up the scrubber and fan before its installed.

That's a good idea man. Im running an open hood right with a CMH so it stays pretty cool, don't really need to cool the hood atm but I might use it for my next set up. R u running the scrubber inline with the hood ducting or u doin 2 separate fans? Cuz i would run it inline so it eliminates the need for 2 fans. Not sure how well the scrubber will work though if its inline with the hood.

In my experience flowering a plant twice has ill effects, the second harvest is usually much smaller and much weaker. Some growers cut the root mass back and reflower but most growers will tell you its a waste of time. You still have to re-veg and allow new growth to carry the flowers and if you trimmed the root system you have to let that reestablish, its much easier to take clones and veg those while you flower, then just move the vegging plants into the flower room the same day you harvest.
