Lucid dreaming and the astral world/astral projection/entities you meet/expierience

I heard an idea very much like this on NPR many years ago ... the aliens, fairies, gnomes etc. are the (re)presentations of what Jung called archetypes. I don't know if that's true or not, but it's an intriguing take on the phenomenon. cn

I think youre definetely onto something with this statemnt and I for one think your right.Its a subconscious creation IMO,archetypes are abundant in recorded dreams through out history.The images of those archetypes are everchanging but the characters remain,this being good entities or bad,a duality that remains,This revolving around the cultures of the time being.
 
I have heard it explained that when transitioning from awake to sleep, or sleep to waking, it's possible to slip into a state of mind that is prone to hallucinations. It's said this can be demonstrated by saying your name over and over in your head as you try to drift off for the night. Supposedly just before you enter sleep you will hear what sounds like an external voice saying your name. I have tried but it never happens for me.

As far as i can tell bro, when i look at the universe, it tells me over and over again... without doubt, whether we look at the universe in a magnified scale, or a quantum scale... that nothing lasts forever.

Though i am certain of nothing in this existence, i think we should take this information into substantial consideration.

Why is everything persecution with you? You tossed it up to be shared, and guess what, I shared my comments, just as I would if anyone brought it up. I made no claim that you believed in anything. I just stated something I found interesting and asked a question. Where in my quote did I make any assumption about you?
 
I once had a lucid dream that I drove my car into a shopping mall, got out and then took off flying crashing through the ceiling... it was fuckin gnarly
 
i have em from time to time. i usually start to be able to control the dream when im say runnin an i cant run full speed an im wonderin in my dream why i cant then my real brain realizes its a dream an from then on i can control it. or like one i had the other night i was in a mall with 2 ppl i didnt know an i went in the back part of the mall ppl arent suppose to be in an a security guard ran to the side of me sayin we needed to get the fuck outa here an i pulled my gun an shot him in the face. thats the point where i took control of the dream cause i remember thinkin in my head wow i just offed that dude for no damn reason. then the dudes i was with wanted to run but i just kept a walkin pace an we got out to the parkin lot an started to jump this high ass fence when a cop pulled up an asked what we were doin an i shot him too then shot another that saw me kill the cop after that i started runnin to my friends house an on the way to his house i woke up. it was pretty wild an awesome at the same time.

i remember wakin up thinkin man the first dude i offed was me dreamin but the other two i did that fully aware. haha FUCK EM

A true lucid dream, is when you realize you are dreaming... and you take complete control of the dream.
