Thanks. Yeah the little cubes seem like they will be perfect. I'm having a hard time balancing the watering amounts / number of cycles for the slabs. They are either too wet or too dry. I used them a few years ago, but I was only watering once a day and the setup was different.

I got the mist emitters yesterday, but the connectors are way too small. So now I have to figure out a way to secure them to the tube. I'm thinking about using a little silicon chalking and then wrapping them with wire.

The slabs we use in the U.K. are the Vital and as far as I’m aware they differ in type and direction of fibre, different models of stone wool have different properties when it comes to water retention/repellency, I used them for a few years with delta cubes or Hugo blocks and did both Dtw/recirculate. The dtw deffo took a lot more fine tuning than the recirculating as the ec swings a lot during the dry back, whereas with constant drip 2lph per plant the parameters in the res and slab are pretty much identical.

would a really thin cable tie not secure the tube to the connector or is the tube too big even for that?

Instead of sealing it with tape, I may run a ribbon of panda film around the inside wall to prevent any leaks from the spray.
