"Main-Lining" Ace Of Spades (tutoral)

yeahhh. crack is directly down the center of one of the first 2 branches, vertically. goes all the way through, and is probably about an inch long.

girls look killer today....8 heads is blowing my mind.....stretchy, but the strongest stems i have ever seen.....i knew she would be a great candidate for main-lining the moment i first saw her.....so shes at day 15, and 16 is at day 5......i am pretty sure they will end up about the same height.....around 32 inches tall......
 
Here's an example of mainlining. She vegged a few of weeks then I chopped her at the 4th or 5th node.

BTW, nice thread you got going on Nugbuckets, its always good to pass on knowledge about growing and guide others to success. Topping a plant in this fashion can drastically increase yields, even more so if you spend a little time each day to train the heads to grow at an even level. Very nice AOS you have there, the heads are all nice and even.

Does anyone find that the AOS stays short with really close internode spacing? Mine are squat and popping shoots everywhere! I can't even see inside, very dense. Oh almost forgot your are amazing and beautiful. Still don't totally get it but will read over the thread again! :)
 
Nug- Killer tek, dude. I feel like everyone in tents should be "main-lining" and I intend on doing it on my next grow. I just have a pretty simple question: When using an Indica dominant like you are, what is the average "footprint" (sq/ft) on average per plant? I've got a 54x54" tent. I plan on rockin the 600w hps with a cooltube, with an adjustable wing, and some cfl's to supplement the edges. I'll also be doin dwc, so the space is arrangeable. Got a realistic # on how many to throw in there?
 
footprint of my plant is probably about 24" square right now (or at least it will be by the time stretch stops. Granted, once I trim I'm sure I could pack them in tighter.

ug, you have any guidlines for how much I should prune off my lowers? some of of my lower lateral branching is going bonkers, others, not so much.

i think i read about how you sex out a seed run early. something about waiting till there are 3-4 nodes and then flowering...identify sex early, cull and revert them back to veg.

is this right? could add more details? thanks a million brother. you have stepped up my game considerably

follow nugs lab......i just planted some cheesequake, join us in there, and i will show you....but you got it down.....it is real simple.
 
....i flip them when they hare about 6-7 inches tall.....and really just cull the early males, which only takes 3-5 days.....only ladies and the occational late showing boy will be left, which is usually valuable to me for sperm anyways.....

will most strains show sex that early? i remmeber waiting almost 10days before i felt comfortable to cull males...some i had determined earlier but waited. you are saying i have to look for early signs and then take a leap of faith?! nervioso

i have yet to work with jb, just started vortex.....i am still in the testing phase with different strains.....but so far, so good.....there is a whole lot of it going on with all sorts of strains in nugbuckets lab....stay tuned.
