That can literally be said of ANY brand light

User error, most of the time
Point here isnt about pointing fingers at any one brand. But its a good idea to look at what kind of parts have given problems which led to fire hazard. In Mars defense: ive not seen any of them causing a fire. But i have seen more than one of their speed connectors burn, those that have a few pins and with a screw mechanism for water proofing. Didnt light the tent up but who wants the risk. Point against Mars: when you tag them in a thread regarding issues, some times safety related, some times just re shitty marketing, photoshopped plants in marketing etc you usually get crickets.
Point in favor of Mars: they seem to be improving, both their lights and them answering.
But theres been people ordering a light in the EU, light arrives broken, and then Mars telling them they need to shipp it back to china for them to send out a new light. Shipping to china is more than a new light. But i believe it was fixed by posting here re the issue. So its a mixed bag, with movement in the right direction. Engaging with sellers in a forum seems to further everyone.
Point is in general life lives in the grey zone, the black and white approach is usually not the right one. Probably a sign of our times, we prefer just to stick to us and them approaches.
But no amount of talking against or for a light will change how the light hanging in your tent is working.

Ps i might be mixing up some Mars happenings with spiderfarmer, to me theyre all the same pretty much
