This is good information. I have heard of people re-using their coco, but I will be using shooting powder which is supposed to make the coco un-reusable. But, if you flush out the trichoderma can;t you put it back in before the next run? You said you flush every coiuple weeks because of salt buildup...doesn't drip clean take care of the salt build?Yo Bender, I hope you didn't flush with just plain R/O water? You will of washed away some of your all important trichoderma. But it's not a major problem if you did, just not ideal.
Never flush with totally clean RO water in coco until the very end, and even then, only if you DON'T want to re-use your coco.....always use a reduced feed for flushing during flowering.... 1.0-1.2 EC or something like that. Just to keep the good bacteria going. I flushed my plants through every 10-14 days or so like this.
At the very final flush before harvest, if you plan on re-using your coco, just flush an even lighter EC feed. At like 0.4 EC or something. This will keep your trichoderma alive and kicking for your next use of the coco. Or you can use Canna flush, this removes exess salt buildup from the medium, but also keeps the bacteria alive as well.
Plants are looking GREAT though man!
Sounds like a high movienah it was funny.... I was watching a movie earlier..... a kids movie.... there was a race...... two dudes on big nice horses, they could gallop and trot pretty quick (hot heads of course), and one more benign slower paced dude on a donkey...... the slow donkey won the race, the donkeys name was molasses! I just thought it was funny, lol.....
Good stuff with the flush. I wouldn't use Molases if you are using other boosters/additives. For example, shooting powder. But really I'm no expert as I never used the stuff. But I know lots of people do.Thank you fellows for your input, I really appreciate it.
Lol on your funny conversation.
BTW I just flushed with 1.5 EC and 75% strength additive. I remembered you mentioning not to use plain R/O until the end, due to that I didn't flush with plain water.
I was on a budget and got this Grandmas Molasses for cheap. Perhaps next round I will used some stuff from nute company.
As far as dosage I am thinking 1 tablespoon / 5 gallons every other day or every third day.
I am also planning on adding some innoculant. Any good suggestions on a good blend of bacteria would be greatly appreciated.
So far the recommendation I have gotten is for Great White by Plant Success
I think you can still re-use coco even with shooting powder. Can be re-used up to two or three times. Trichoderma takes time to build, so why destory it in the first place. This is good information. extend it to 14 days ....... just water after that last molasses sounds good to me (everyone does their own thing )
Yeah, everyone does do there own thing. My sisiter used sugar water to sweeten her buds up and had good reults. I would be too scared of bugs to use sugar myself though.everything sounds good right now, i'll just go with the flow and see what works for me.

I forgot until I read the post above that I didn't use mollases because I was worried about bugs as well. Definitely giving it a try along with the 14 days........
yea its easy to burn through a whole bottle of sweet really quick.
Something's been up with RIU servers.me either!
