whoo...easy with the scissors there buddy! ;) You won't have anything left. LOL....Only 5 days in though, so they still got a lot of growing/stretching to do.
I took off everything that wasn't receiving light. I helped a friend with his harvest a few month ago, and i just freakin hated the shit load of popcorn buds. Manicuring it was the biggest pain in the ass, smoking it wasn't that great either. So the way I see it is that none of the buds that are going to get light are gonners, better to be aggressive early than later. But you are right, this is probably my last main lolli session, from here on out i will take it easy.

I'm sure they'll be just fine man and really fat nice buds because of it.......I look forward to it :) But probably not as much as you.

yeah mean, forget weeks or even days, i am counting seconds, i am going to start doing more therapy for my back and go to the gym more often to get my mind off. Anyhow I am off to catch some zzz before I setup and other room 4.5x2.5, not sure how my perpetual will work but for now it will be my veg room.

Day 6 Flowering Picture Update

All is well I transplanted them to 5 gallon smart pots similar to air pots from UK.

The OG has some leaves with some curling going on, they aren't thirsty. May be its getting too much of some element. Any input on that would be appreciated.

BTW the little brown particles u see are coco, it isn't a bugs or anything like that.

Got a good amount of main colas on the himalayan gold. Since its my first grow yield expectation is quite low, my main priority is just good product.

Day 7 Flowering Picture Update

All is well, the girls in the smart pots were extra thirsty. I have 3 in 5 gallon smart pots and 3 in 3 gallon 10 in sq containers, this will be an experiment to see how much better is the smart pot.

The OG's leaf curling has gotten better, i have kicked it down to 1.7 EC.

The last picture is of the first clone I took 21 days ago. Its a baby gold, ready to go in coco.

Day 8 Flowering Picture Update

Hope everyone is well. My back has been in insane pain, and money is so tight that i cannot even afford proper medication.

Anyways my medicine is growing well, saw mini buds on day 8 of flowering. Super excited to see these all over the place.

Himalayan Gold is streching way more than OG, its interesting that the HG right under the 600s is stretching the most, I thought initially that it would be the outer canopy that will stretch more.

Still experiencing leaf curling on the OG. its eating way less than the HG too. have moved the lights a bit higher. The good thing is that the curling is only on the older leaves none of the new ones have the edges curling.

Thanks Don. My back looks like a 60 years old persons back in an MRI Scan. There is very little i can do except deal with the pain relief.

I have tried around 100 strains in the last decade, maybe even more, its simply the most potent stuff that helps with the pain the most. If the bud isn't grown right it end up making me just cough too much and that doesn't help with the pain.

So its properly grown high THC content strain that I would go for, OG is great in that department, we'll see how good the HG is.

I am in California, USA. I never tried UK Cheese.

BTW the OG i have is clone only, no seeds exist for that. I am not sure which cut I got exactly but its from SF area, one of the older cuts.

Hey fellows, sorry for the late update. My back has been in some really back pain. I cannot afford any medication right now so i am only icing my back. Hopefully after this grow I will be good for a good bit.

Two weeks flowering picture update

All is well, the OG is still dealing with some leaf curling. I have even removed the extra CFLs to see if it helps but not much.

Himalayan Gold is STRETCHING like no tomorrow. I am almost worried, it has doubled in the first two weeks. The stems have gotten super thick.

Picture 1 & 2
One of the stalks stretched so much that it caught up to the light in a few hours after I moved the light up, unfortunately due to it be so close to the light it seems to have been burnt. Let me know how ba♠d u think it is. Should i just cut the burnt area off or let it go.

Picture 3 & 4
on very few of the big HG fan leaves there seems to be some discoloration. I have seen this sort of discoloration late in flowering but not this early. Can anyone give me some input

Rest of the pictures for pleasure.

Note that the plants don't look that good in pics, because the HPS is so yellow, I will take some pics of the girls right before the lights turn on to catch the sleeping beauties.

sup fella ive not been about lately ive got manflu... ok the discolouration is just under the ligth area right? id say leave the leaves untill thier 50% + dead then take them off more than that and their draining the plant. i wouldnt worry too much as long as youve got planty of new growth and the plants look healthy. up to you if you want to chop the burnt bit off?!?! as for the streeeeeeetch well youve got a numebr of options but id recommend supercropping, check the faq but long and short is pinch the stem one way pinch it the other you'll feel a tube crush in the middle of the stem. it takes a while to get a feel for how much pressure but just a pinch and bend the thing over like dont be afraid to bend it 90 degrees it opens the lower branches up to light and should keep them out the way of the light. don

Hey bender,

The discoloration you're seeing....very tough to tell with the HPS on as I can't pick out the color but it looks like some type of either Mg, P, or maybe Zn deficiency. Not sure really...but definately a deficiency. Try looking over the Plant Problems stickies (I know they're not that helpful and posting there gets little to no response but I imagine you could get a good sense of it by looking at some of those example pics they give). Looking good otherwise. Stretching's a pain but usually controllable by supercropping or screening earlier on. Keep up the good work.

looking good Bender. What the others said. Super cropping is your friend in the fight against stretchy plants man.

Can't really see the discoloration under the HPS light. Just some small heat stress or wind burn with the leaf edges curling up. Can you back off your HPS a bit. That may help. This can cause bleaching and discoloration as well over time.

Coming on nice though man! :)
