Can't really see the discoloration under the HPS light. Just some small heat stress or wind burn with the leaf edges curling up. Can you back off your HPS a bit. That may help. This can cause bleaching and discoloration as well over time.

Thanks a lot for your input fellows. I supercropped the girls, i will get some sticks to tie them down tomorrow.

Also here is a picture of the discolored leaf.

I fed the girls 100 % dose of "Sweet (Grape)" from Botanicare. Before I was giving them 75% dose of sweet. That stuff has Mg in it, if that doesn't help I will get some cal-mag. I will be going to 2.3 EC from 2.0 shortly so I am sure that will help.

Also seems the OG is way more heat sensitive than the Gold, the OG isn't even directly under the light like HG and its still trippin from the heat.

nah man, but you can get calcium sulhate, but it's not as readily available as mag sulphate, or Epsom Salts.

that's what I'm getting at. If he's using tap water, he could be locking out mg with too much calcium that's already in the tap water. You need to be careful with tap water. I bet yours is good where you live up North Don mate. I tested mine with an aqarium tester kit once before and then went out to buy a water butt. LOL....I couldn't bring myself to install an RO filter as there is SO much waste. Rain water is awesome, but it can attract bacteria.

okay cool....you will need both then.

Assuming none of your other nutes have cal or mag in them, then start with your RO water, then add the cal-mag so your EC is at 0.3. Then just carry on with mixing up your other nutes as normal. That's what I did all the way through my grow, but I know for sure that canna cocco A+B nutes have no cal-mag content.

yeah i got pretty lucky with our council pop its pretty hard but so far my strain choices haven't minded.

i hear RO water more and more these days n wonder if im missing a trick but it seems hasslesome till im convinced otherwise ill leave it i think. a waterbutt would be wicked but as ive only got a flagstoned back yard it would be a little suspect eh hahaha:lol:

Please don't say sorry to me DON, this is as much your thread as it is mine. I just appreciate all the info you good fellows have taught me.

My tapwater EC is 0.5 which is quite high. Even if my tapwater was 0.1 EC I would still probably use RO just because it makes sense to me that there will be much less salt buildup in my pots. That helps since I water with no run off at all. Its been like that the entire grow.

I am currently purchasing RO but I do plan on buying a $100 RO filter from ebay.

aAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAH dude there not even stigmas i think what i meant to say was pistil tastic as she's hairy lol dont chop it off ( unless your out of smoke and even then i wouldnt ;)ahahah after doing some brief research i dont even think female plants have stigma's lol they're there to produce pollen.. my bad, spreading misinformation all over the good pages of RIU....

ditto on the run off, i dont get any, i water by hand just enough as and when they need it.

im still not toally sold on RO water it seems like a hassle as far as i can see. id like to use rain water but i dont have a patch of grass let alone a garden to have a water butt in lol

Due to my lack of experience, i cannot compare the speed of flowering compared to other strains. The HG has almost twice as big flowers as the OG.

I am sure its hard to tell from pictures but how do they look compare to other strain around the 2nd week.

BTW i caught them right when they were bout to catch some zzzz.

Does this stuff look like it will be good enough to help with pain. I do not care about the type of high and also i do not have a preference for certain flavor or anything of that nature. All I care about is cannabis that will smoke smooth and help relieve my back pain.

I am out of medicine. How long do you think before i could chop off a lil cola or two for a lil smoke. I talked to a person over the forums who had gold which he cut at 5 weeks. I really hope I have an early finisher.

thats the thing with mj even the same strain may have different characteristics seed to seed its all pot luck lol bad pun i know....

usually its a trade off higher the yield lesser the potency, i think you'll find the OG the stronger by far

man you only get out what you put in, and so far so good! just dont skimp on the important stuff. nutes especially. having the right mix can dramatically improve your end product. there are a few threads round riu that have lists of great medical strain for pain relief you should check out sorry i dont have a link off hand.

as for smooth tasty smoke thats all down to the cure man the longer the better but more importantly doing it right! one of the biggest rookie mistakes in my eyes, you've waited 3 months wait another one and compare the dope to fresh dried weed and you wont want the fresh anymore.

hard to say man but one things for sure it wont be a patch on what it will be like when its ready. but times are hard man if your out of bud id probably buy some and put it down to expenses while your smokes done my 2p this is your show tho man ;)
