I'm sure a lot of minimum wage workers are lazy, but is it right to generalize the entire minimum wage working force based on the worst workers in the force, especially considering the implications?
If someone works 40 hours a week, they should be able to support themselves and pay for basic needs, lazy or not. If they're a lazy worker, employers have every right to replace them.

the point of having full time work is to support yourself. so if you work full time but still have to rely on public assistance, that should leave you wondering what's wrong.

Would you take a full time job if it didn't pay you enough to pay for your food, rent, and clothes? If not, why would you expect anyone else to?

Some do; Microsoft, AT&T, Sprint, Sears, Kraft, GE, etc..
Why shouldn't multibillion dollar, multinational institutions pay their employees a wage that will ensure they don't require government assistance to support themselves? Why should I have to pay for full time employees living expenses because their employer is too cheap to do it themselves? I believe it's more American, let alone more fair to the American public, for said employer to pay the employee a sustainable working wage and not rely on the government (my and your tax dollars) to fill that void. Forgive me for encroaching on your MULTIBILLION dollar profits, I am so greedy!, you employ them, YOU pay for them. Not me. Not us. YOU. It's not my responsibility as a tax paying American citizen to ensure YOUR workers barely make it above the poverty line because YOU'RE too cheap to pay for their basic needs.
